Should I use the turf that came with the unit or should I replace it with an after market turf? I just don't want to damage any of the sensors.

I have one of the "DivotAction" cover for mine which does cover the entire swing pad quite more and is a lot more forgiving than the stock one. You really have to chop into the sensors to break them and watch and maksure the mat height matches up with the swing pad if you do decide to go aftermarket.
