i am getting frustrated with inconsistent ball striking and the chunks that happen and ruin a good round. Presently I am using mizuno jpg ez forged from 5-9 irons and mizuno wedges. I have worked the past two years eliminating the over the top and consistently hit draws to straight balls. If anyone plays single length irons please give some feedback. I know that the problem is me but I may need a crutch to help me out with this.

Well I just played my first round with my new Cobra One Length irons. The round was not spectacular but solid for me. It is long as well and I needed to hit several 5 irons as approach shots. These were easier to hit than my previous ones. After a few rounds I hope to be more consistent with my ball striking. Time will tell if they are just a gimmick or a real benefit for me. The distances were ok as well. Too early to tell about gapping. after a few rounds I should have that down.
One rewind on a 0.5 inch chip shot.

I am left-handed and the only ones available are the King F7 non-forged. They use different head designs so that the head weight and swing weight are the same throughout the set just like the lengths being equal. So swinging a 5 irons feels the same as a GW. It is a little weird in the beginning but I just played them at the same distances as my Mizuno JPX-EZ forged irons. You just need to trust that your GW being longer will not go flying past the hole and trust that your "short" 5 iron will go 185 like it did in your previous set. Only one round played with about 5 swings of each club beforehand. So far so good. I am trying so simplify things. I still have 54* and 58* Mizuno t7 wedges. They do make a 55* sand wedge as well but I did not get it.......yet!
