  • Trackman University!

I haven't really had much productive to add to this forum, though I've hoarded a ton of information from all you!

Well, this might be helpful for many here. Forgive me if this has already been mentioned in another post; I was just too anxious to share my discovery! This is a pretty cool app for the iPad! It's free info which can also be accessed on the TM website! You do have to register, but once you're logged in check out the "Library" tab at the top of the screen. This isn't just geared towards becoming TM certified (I personally had no interest in that). It will allow you to take some cool exams to test your knowledge, or you can forgo all of that and just use the library. The most impressive aspect to me are the detailed videos and interactive models which allow you to truly learn about what all the numbers mean, and how they influence ball flight!

A small bit of advice... When you register, it will give you several options under "Category". I initially chose the "Amateur" option. Choose whatever fits you best, but I found that it didn't completely unlock the club categories within the library. I ended up editing my profile to Club Fitter/Retail, and it unlocked all of the info. Neat stuff for us who need it! And for those who are starting out, don't be mislead by the Trackman in the title of this thread... this info is relative to all launch monitors. As much so as the FlightScope Trajectory Optimizer is.

Thanks for this - very good information, informative videos and the what-if online tools are very cool to really understand what really happens. I have a SkyTrak and I am going to enter some of my stats from it to their online tools see what I might need to improve upon next.
