  • Why does this keep happening???

I've been really struggling with the settings on the V Cam and thought I had made some good progress, then this keeps happening. When I start the Protee Interface, the camera view is somehow spit in half and flipped backwards. I hit a drive in The Golf Club software and it showed the club head speed at 55 mph, lol. Ball went about 40 yards, so I checked the V Cam for the launch and this is how it looked. I restarted the computer and the interface and sometimes it looks ok and sometimes I get this. Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

I went to the Debug button and found that the rear sensors were stuck open. I cycled the power on the sensor pad for a couple of minutes and it seems to be working fine now. Still doesn't really explain why the Preview of the V Cam would look like that.

It's called Image Tearing. The camera's are high powered devices. They need the maximum power available on the USB ports each. Especially when using extension cables.

Internal computer USB hubs provide a certain amount of power which is being shared over multiple USB ports. Make sure both camera's are on separate internal USB hubs.

You can plug one camera on the back of the computer and one on the front, or when using a laptop one on the left side and one on the right side.

Also make sure no other high power devices are connected to the same USB hub shared with the camera's.

Its also important to use extension cables with active repeaters. These repeaters boost the signal and power. Use the 16' feet extension cables provided.

Thank you for the response. I am only using the v cam. There is no extension on the USB. The camera sits very close to the computer.

Somehow the camera is not getting enough power which will cause the image tearing.

One other thing, make sure your computer energy profile is set to high performance so its not trying to save energy on USB ports...

Whatever is attached to the camera normally. There is no extension. I believe it's like 6ft.

So, this is part 2 to my issues. The club head speed being measured is really low. This is translating to The Golf Club software and producing some very interesting and frustrating shots. Thoughts as to why this is happening? Thanks.

This was with a 7 iron. Should be in the 80's. Drivers are being measured around 65 Mph as well.

Whenever this has happened to me I just hit the preview button while viewing the v-cam. It is then good for the entire session. The double screen goes back to normal. Try that.

I think this is a lighting issue. Too much overlap between the lights. I moved the light a little and it works much better.
