Screen proximity and the turf questions??

1. So I’m a pretty high ball hitter and I feel like at 10 ft I’ll hit the ceiling with a 60 degree before the net. Is is ok to have the screen closer say 7 ft? Does that affect the simulator readings.
2. See the pic and please let me know what would be the best material to put on the rest of the subfloor and for putting. Thanks for the input!

There should be no problem hitting closer to the screen. I do the same (8.5 ft) in order to avoid hitting the ceiling as well.

I have a relatively small sim room... 13'6" front to back, so I hit 7' from the screen. Doesn't affect readings at all & not worrying about shots hitting the ceiling is a definite benefit
