  • ProTee Simulator space requirements? Regular and with HCAM?

    Hello all,

I'm having trouble finding this, but I'm considering a ProTee simulator and I'm not sure what the exact requirements are, here is what I have: 11'6" wide, by 15' deep, by 10' height. The only one I think is no trouble is the 10' height.

Can someone tell me if a ProTee simulator will fit in this space, or does it require more depth (I will be swinging a club about 8' - 8'6" from the screen, and with 6' behind me)?

I am only concerned in setting it up for right-handed play, so not worried about that. Also, if I added the HCAM (cameras) is that possible in this space? Not sure on where lights need to be mounted, etc, in my space, will it work?

    Thanks,
    -Brett

Hi Brettster I haven't set mine up yet but you should have more than enough space. The vertical camera mounts about 2' to the right of your ball/mat. You will need a halogen directly over your mat/ball or 2 halogens if you get the putting sensor...so keep that in mind when you are shopping for a projector and calculating where it will be mounted with its given throw ratio. If you install the horizontal camera it gets mounted overhead, slightly in front of the hitting mats, pointing straight down. Here's a link to some of the setup..

I'm working with about the same space as you and I've seen videos with people having it setup in smaller areas. Here's a link to their space requirements/recommendations.

Notice that they say It's just their safety recommendations, but it can be made to fit into any space. So, maybe just keep the fine china to the side and you will be good to go. 👍

I'm not sure on the HCAM's but if they're wide angle I don't see why they wouldn't work. Check out their specs. I would be interested in something like that as well until I can swing something like the Uneekor. Good luck and where there's a will there's a way
