  • ProTee - Lack of ball spin tracking - Question

On a real golf course, I tend to have a heavy slice at times. My question is 2 parts:

    1) Will the ProTee system be able to accurately track my slices?

    2) If not, do you guys find this to be a deal breaker?

I want to enjoy playing on the system, but I also want to improve my game. I'm nervous that if I get a system that doesn't read my slices, then I won't improve.

    Thanks,

    Bill

ProTee will detect slices based on your club data. If you hav a slice it will certainly show.

I find ProTee to be ridiculously accurate. I too slice, and ProTee doesn't sugarcoat what it shows on the screen. My shots are just as bad on the sim as in real life. Ouch!

What ProTee will show accurately is your club data. The primary cause of slicing is an "outside to in" swing. I have also been working to change that to get rid of my slice.

I read these forums thoroughly before getting my sim, and the debate was whether "ball data" or "club data" was more beneficial. Based on my experience with ProTee which is "club data" based, no question that that is the way to go. It clearly and graphically shows where your club has traveled and what you have to correct. Ball spin can be the result of an open club face or an outside to inside swing or a combination of both. "Ball data" alone, in my view, won't give you enough information if you are working on getting rid of your slice.

"Ball data" is probably of more benefit to the low-handicappers working on tweaking their game, not guys like us who are just trying to find the fairway.

      ProTee won't disappoint.

+1. Club data is extremely useful for me (18 handicap) in trying to change to a more in to out swing. I've only had my ProTee for a couple of weeks, but the accuracy is very impressive. You won't regret the purchase.

Thx for this... I almost bought Sky Trak but found the accuracy on my neighbour's unit and 2 others laughable as wel as their zero transparency, zero support business model... i initially intended buying pro-tee 2015 and also the extra horizontal camera... then got talked into ST, then nah... then I looked at golf achiever which is really accurate but also has support issues... so once I have a real high end fast gaming PC I will be buying Pro-tee

I want club head data and also a soft grass feel to shots as my hands are fxxked..... this system offers everything one needs
