What is the difference between PT1 h-cam and PT3 h-cam? Does it still have the red box and line?

I think PT1 and PT3 are essentially the same.

Would it be possible to get a 'high level' explanation of the PT Camera settings? Would appreciate understanding what makes a PT5 different than a PT3 for example.......Thx

Don't know exact code for cam detection. In general there is PT1/3, PT4 and PT5.

PT1/3 need cam in a set position. Ball goes in red box and ball streak is detected based on pixel count/difference.

PT4 is similar with set position but uses a slightly different pixel detection method to determine streak.

PT5 uses pixel detection method but analyses the streak irrespective of the ball start position. The benefit is you can place the hcam forward away from the club streak. This may help eliminate any club error.

Stick with whatever method works. I personally use PT3 and it works great.

New TeamSpeak server. Check beta section for address and password. No more complaints from my family about slow internet!

What are you guys using for the ball diameter adjustment, mine is at 4 but when I adjusted it either way and reanalysing it it wasn't changing anything. Using PT1
This is a simple fix and would make these settings un-necessary. ProTee just needs to find the width of the streak and divide by 2 to determine the center. Bubba, any word on this?

Ok, I am frustrated with my driver. For the life of me I cannot get it to go over 200 yards. Should I adjust the settings or is it just me? Outside I always hit my driver over 200 yards mostly with a slice but it goes more than 150 which is what I have been getting lately.

Make sure your LA cam is working as it should with a driver. If your LA is not detected correctly, the carry will be off. If the cam is working fine and your carry is consistently off by 10-15, then adjust bs/drag.

Bubs- I had the same problem for the first week or so-- first thing- I wasnt swinging very hard because I wasnt used to hitting inside- I did adjust drag to .96 -didnt really notice anything different because I still wasnt swinging-and hitting the ball square- then after a few more rounds-- boom- I got used to it- was hitting and swinging more fluid-when I connect now, im getting 225-235 yard drives, some a bit further depending on the lay of the land.

Guy's just an update- I had a friend over tonight who has golfed alot more than i have the past 5 years- he still plays in leagues. He had some trouble getting used to the putting- somehow he couldnt get it through his thick skull that the sensor works on breaking the light source and kept setting it off on accident.... and he just didnt get the feel to the putting- I know eventually he will...

but for distances- I think they are spot on- I hit my 6 iron if flush and it will go about 150- he has new hybrids 4/5/6 and he was hitting his 4 almost 200! 5- 188 easy and his 6- 178!! He said thats about right.
He also has one of those newer 3 woods (no driver) you know the type -that new fangled tech- white head/ weighs nothing--- and was hitting it 230 off the tee- I read that white clubs get picked up instead of the ball- But we didnt have any misreads for 8 holes!!! anyway- I have to say that the distances were very accurate-- he was too busy complaining about the putting to give any opinion on anything else-but after 2 weeks -I feel pretty confident that what i do to the ball will translate to the screen. Also He started getting tired the last couple holes and was hitting weak fades..
imagine that! damn thats accurate eh?>
as for putting--- No issues for me- just like chipping-this is something you have to work on to get the feel for the system and how it works.

( we only played 8 holes) so no misreads at all.. he wanted to see and play some holes from augusta so I set it up so he could hit over rays creek- he got a kick out of that.

Cool. Glad to hear you got it working good. Sounds like your friend was setting up too close to the putting sensor?

at first- yes his practice strokes would cross because he was abit too close- but later,
he just wasnt being careful - after he would putt -he would go get his ball and look at the screen- then he would go back and cross the sensor and that set off the ball again..lol-
he just didnt listen to me when i tried explaining how things worked is all.
impatience got the better of him.

anyway-- Im ready to play friendly rounds online- so I'll catch up with some of you very soon-
I just have to bring my mic- and plug it into that comp for teamspeak- I think thats about it-
fairways set to 165/greens are at 100- no shot analysis- ready golf is no problem.
