  • Shot Delay took its Toll at Tournament Play

This happened to me today at round 3 hole 15 of Farmer's. Hit tee shot, long delay, no response, hit second drive after 3+ minutes, first drive's data came through. And no more long delays after this. Hit 3rd shot with ironwood from rough, 2nd drive's data came through, ball landed 25yd from pin, but was farther than expected. Not knowing it was the 2nd drive's data discounted by the rough, I was puzzled but decided to play on. Hit 4th shot with LW, 3rd shot's ironwood data went through and the ball travelled 120+yd with initial speed of 115MPH. By now, I knew what was going on, but there is no rewind. Re-loaded TGC, took a rewind, play another shot to try to get back to green 100+yd away, now my LW data came through and the ball travelled 20+yards, i.e., the problem persisted. Decided to shut down everything, TGC, PC, GC2. After that, system became normal again, but my round is ruined and I just wanted to finish the round quickly.

Needless to say, a very frustrating experience, and @ProTee, there is something wrong here. My PC is dedicated for the sim and fairly new. Hole 15 was played around 11pm Sunday PST, can't be bandwidth issues of any kind on my end as I have a wireless router in the sim room, can it? GC2 was obviously doing its reads and passing over the data. So, what could be holding off TGC from processing and drawing the shot? Why did it take another shot for data of the previous shot to be processed? Could it be software co-exist issues, like with Avast anti-virus? These delays happened to me before but it has never messed up game play as badly like this. Before this, I just wait and the shot will come. I guess if I were to encounter this again, I would either wait wait and wait some more, or shut everything down to start over, and never repeat a shot (because GC2 does not drop shots?). But why does it have to be so miserable? @ProTee, would you have any suggestions? Thanks.
