In the mean time, the strong wind stays for the majors.

My point is... I bought a Protee because I want a realistic and accurate game. And until you throw in the strong wind and get 30 yards from the green it is just that. But if you want to take us back to the days of the optishot we all got rid of then so be it. And as far as the comment about it being to easy. That is why we all have a HDCP. and if you want to take the scratch golfers out of the equation then flight the tournaments. And if you think the wind is adding to the difficu

Don't everybody all speak up at once. Anybody else want the wind to go away?

Is there any way to check the weather for the course on the first day of the tournament. Then go with the real weather for the whole tournament as it was on the first day.

That's doable but then it will be different for everybody. Some might want to practice for a particular condition.

Surprising people are bitching about playing with the wind for the majors. Who cares if it's not realistic. We are playing a simulator. There are many things that aren't realistic. My mates and I play with no wind at all so it's fun playing with it these online majors. Makes you try to be creative for shot making. I got lucky with a lot of back wind in my first round so I shot a good score. Who knows what it will be in my second round. I vote to Keep the wind for majors especially playing at coastal courses like Pebble. It's all about fun here. No need to be all serious.

I thought i wouldnt like the wind, but it kind of makes it fun. I vote to keep the wind in play for tournaments, doesnt have to be all of them but i like it.

Lets get one thing straight... No one was bitching.... Until now.

Who cares if it's not realistic. I don't believe I am reading that correctly. Here we sit for hours and hours putting tape on our clubs to get it to read the right spot on our club. And spend hours and hours tweaking things so it acts like it is supposed to act. Protee keeps adding new stuff to make it do EXACTLY what it does outside. And then you say "Who cares if it's not realistic". Really? Well I for one do care. And lets get another thing straight. Its not that I disagree with playing in the wind. I just disagree that it's anything CLOSE to how it is outside. Never in my life have I had to aim 15-20 yards off line when I am 30 yards from the pin. And I have played in 45-50 MPH winds. I have played in so much wind that your ball would land on the green and you walk up to it to putt and the wind would blow your ball another 3-6 feet in any direction. And even that day you did not have to aim as far left or righ

Tom, I disagree with most of what you posted. But, we're here to have fun, right? So, lets just agree to disagree.

I've already agreed that the wind is not realistic for a 30 yard shot, but I don't have a problem with aiming 15-20 yards off line since it appears to be pretty consistent. If enough people don't like the wind, we'll stop playing with it.

Tom, I meant to only refer to the wind not being not realistic and the 'who cares' was meant that some things are not realistic but all in all accurate as hell and super fun. My bad.

exactly why I said "nuf said"

But when one accuses me of "bitching" when clearly I state "I don't want to sound like a whiner but that's just my opinion" You can bet its not going to go unanswered. And when I can't have an opinion with out being accused of "Bitching" then its time to move on.

And just so everyone is aware I have heard from OTHERS (yes that is plural) the same thing I stated, so I am not alone. Again before I am attacked they also said playing in the wind is fun.
But it takes all the skill out of it.

And since the polite thing to do would be to say "I am sorry if I offended anyone in any of my comments". It just my opinion, simply an opinion.

I can't play today (due to it being 70 degrees and I'm going to play outside ) but tomorrow (Monday) if anyone is interested. I can be ready at 5:30 central time
