There is a group of us that play TGC online together, usually in the evenings. We play tournament and other practice rounds together. If playing alone in your sim room, is starting to get a little old, Then consider joining us. You will need to download a third party software that we use called Discord from your phones play store, and then send me a friend invite. BadEddieKit #5074. Will get you setup from there.

Very close to buying everything for my new house basement sim set up and am leaning towards Protee.... can Protee run TGC? If so, I would really like to get involved in a league like this as soon as I am up and running.

Protee can run TGC. Good luck getting setup and hit us up when you're ready to play.

Not sure on how active you’ve been on the forums but I can attest that as many questions and reading you can do on this forum for your build.....the easier and better quality it will be. I set mine up back in March and this forum was invaluable. Welcome and good luck.
Here’s my personal recommendations:
- Benq 2150ST projector
- If you can get on list for the Direct from a mill screen......do it. Great screen at half the cost.
- Hitting mat is kinda up in air. I love my CCE mat to stand on but I know it kills distance on any sort of heavy shot. But I also can say......I think it’s helped my IRL game because I don’t dig and come near as steep as before. I’d probably go more towards a DivotAction next time.
Other than that......it’s kind of down to how professional you wanna make it look. I recommend a black out material on screen edges to “frame” the screen. I added that here a couple weeks ago and makes a very big difference in the neatness category.

cooke23 Thank you for your input... will certainly take all your points into consideration! I am on the direct from mill screen that Daniel has going so hopefully will see that happen sooner than later. Sounds like everyone is thrilled with the quality of those screens. Finally, if I am not mistaken I think that Protee comes with a mat that has the sensors built into it so I do not think I will have much flexibility if I go with Protee. I could be wrong on this but from what it appears that is a fixed part of the Protee system.

Gary, thank you for the reply.
Sorry if the following question is of topic and if it is feel free to ignore so as to not lead the path of the thread off the OP's question:
Can anyone speak to the performance of Pretee vs. ST running TGC both generally and specifically in respects to participating in a league like this?
I only ask because it appears from the responses in this thread that most have ST and was just curious if that was coincidence or if ST is superior to Protee?

I think it has more to do with what you're looking for. ST is basically plug and play. Very simple setup. It's fantastic for the price. It has limitations though. I have never played a protee, but I think it handles righty/lefty play better. I've heard there is some work to getting it setup correctly. I believe the price is comparable to ST. It comes down to figuring out what your needs are.

I've never owned a protee but for the money, the skytrak is a great piece of hardware. There were some putting issues that were fixed with a patch and it's very easy to setup. Portable and I think very accurate. I've moved on to a GC2 but skytrak is a great start IMO.

But we are talking almost a $3000 difference in price also. Skytrak is like $1500. Can't beat that

Thank you very much... just want to get this right and have little to no regrets when all is said and done!

I think another thing to consider would be the resale of the 2 options. If you do ever decide to "upgrade" to a GC2 or if you're lucky enough a Quad, it's probably way easier to sell a skytrak. There are tons for sale here all the time and they go quick.
