Handicap question

Hi All

First time post, had my sim up and running for about 3 weeks now.

Just wondering how long it takes to get a handicap ? I played the Honda event last week, and ive played 5 rounds in the Q school, but it still says ive only played 3. Two of the Q school rounds were today.

Also just wondered generally do people have a lower handicap online or in real life ?

Welcome to the fun! Handicap is updated once a week on Tuesday AM. It looks like you finished up your Qschool round today. So when they handicap is recalculated next Tuesday you should get one. From then on it will update every subsequent Tuesday assuming you play tournament rounds that week.

As for the real vs sim handicap, in the beginning it will probably be higher than real life, especially if you are challenged by the putting on the sim. Over time I would tend to believe the sim would be lower. Main reason is you are always hitting from a perfect lie and no impact from the elements....flat make-believe grass. Real life, that isn't happening. But all in all, I am a firm believer that it helps with the realworld golf, especially when you have a lot of room for improvement like myself.

I'm a 1 handicap on one software and a 5 here. I'd probably be lower here if i could putt even a little bit! IRL I ended last season at a 14.9 .. so yeah, at least a 10 shot difference for me in the sim

Great thanks guys. Im finding getting used to hitting driver indoors the toughest part. 10-20 yards shorter than live at the moment,
