Full agreement. Make it as close to links golf as we can get for the spirit of the championship. I once set the course up dry, fast and windy and had a live game with some buddies. It was so different to play! But awesome to try and figure out how to hit low shots landing 35 yds in front of the greens and watch them roll up it pin high. Pretty cool.

Cool. Will need to figure out the settings soon to give people time to practice.

lol. 35 yards short... that sounds like my normal game...should be fun though. we to mess with the hard and wet settings to play live rounds and I agree that hard courses are hard to play. Makes it a challenge. Our courses around here get dry in August and the game plays very similar to real life when set to hard.

Just looked at this course and for me, I see no penalty for any rough. One is call light Rough and the other is Heavy Rough. I set both my Rough penalty sliders to 100% and seen no penalty.

If others can check that might be go info to have.

There are some courses like that were the label does nothing to the shot. I don't think they can fix them all. I have even noticed that some courses it changes from front to back on how much extra club you have to play. The course we just played (Doral) some bunkers in the fairway play different. Several times on my first round I took an extra club had a great strike and the ball only flew half the club. Others I was 20 yards long. It don't make sense but with all the numerous course designers that's bound to happen.

Rick and I played a few holes on the back 9 at Fife Old Links ( st. Andrews). Rough penalty worded fine.

Ya I'm not sure if this is the way to test but we jacked the rough penalty on my GSX to max and when I tried to hit a shot the ball actually went backwards lol. So they are labeled correctly for sure.

Thats how I test the conditions. That way you know for sure there is penalty. I did that with my test. I will try again in case there was a glitch. Also I would have been on the first hole when I tried and in practice mode.

I went back in and looked and I have 2 Fife courses. The first one when you click on it shows the St. Andrews on the right in that map. The 2nd one does not show that same but seems to be the same course. Any way that 2nd one does work for Rough and heavy Rough. The first one does not.

Was one an update and the other supposed to be removed or are there two?
