Do you want us to make the changes with protee on penalties? I thought latest interface set everything for us.

No, the only thing you need to set is the greenside bunker penalty to 40. Leave everything else at zero. The game will automatically have rough and heavy rough penalties.

GC2 users set everything to default of zero.

Please jot down any issues with the course and let me know. I can correct and republish after we finish. Unfortunately you have to republish the course again, you can't just edit it and replace it. So you end up with multiple versions that show up in search which is confusing.

Just to confirm Craig, which of the two were to be the one to use? One has Beta in the title.

Don't think there are any issues with design as it is great, just harder than you would think but then again to score well on a par 3 course is not easy.

There were a couple major drops off the edges around greens and make for tough recovery shots, so practice is needed. Also the elevation drop on some, you need to know what to hit. I think one was 190 plus yards but with the drop, a 7 iron made it.

Its a beast. Just played front nine and basically if you dont know which club to hit, you have no chance at all. The yardages never really play true. Should be interesting.

World Tour Par 3 Challenge Protee version now published. Based on feedback I spent a couple hours this morning making this course more protee friendly. Please use this version for Tournament. Changes from previous version:

#1 Smoothed entire green complex contours, bunkers were too deep
#2 Created new tees, yardage dropped from 220 to 190ish. Smoothed entire green complex contours, bunkers too deep.
#3 Shortened to 109 yards, dropped tee elevation 15 feet so plays to correct distance, smoothed green complex bunkers were too deep. extended first cut rough around green complex. Enlarged green slightly. Added more land behind green
#4 Dropped elevation from tee to 5 feet, should eliminate club variation, slightly enlarged green. Moved pin away from Sunday pin position. Smoothed green contours. Plays 10 yards shorter
#5 Dropped tee elevation by 10 feet, should reduce club variation. Extended first cut of rough, smoothed entire green complex
#6 Moved Tees up to 180ish yardage, smoothed green contours.
#7 Moved pin position away from Sunday placement, shortened to 130 yards. Dropped tee elevation 7 feet.
#8 Biggest change, this hole was way tough. Reduced yardage to 170 , Smoothed green and bunker complex contours, bunkers way too deep, enlarged green width, extended first cut rough.
#9 Reduced tee elevation from 16 to 4 feet to eliminate club variation. Enlarged postage stamp green, extended first cut rough, smoothed green contours.
#10 Smoothed green/ bunker complex, SFR this hole is 75 feet downhill in real life. I only have it at 65 feet elevation change. Plays 2-3 clubs shorter in reality also.
#11 Moved pin away from cliff to center of green, smoothed green. Dropped elevation change off of tee by 15 feet to eliminate club variation. reduced yardage to 165
#12 Smoothed green/bunker complex, bunkers were too deep, especially back 3 bunkers. Extended first cut rough. Moved tee up 10 yards
                        #13 Smoothed green/bunker complex contours.
                        #14 Changed nothing
#15 Smoothed green/bunker complex contours. Reduced "Pinehurst" fall offs around pin, moved pin placement. Extended first cut rough.
                        #16 Smoothed green/bunker complex contours.
#17 Reduced elevated tee from 18 feet to 5 feet to eliminate club variation. smoothed green/bunker complex contours
#18 Reduced elevated tee from 22 feet to 10 feet to eliminate club variation. Smoothed green/bunker contours. Moved pin location away from Sunday pin. Shortened by 10 yards.

                        Hit em straight guys.
