Keeping tournament progression

Hi guys,
I was wondering if it is possible (after having played the first round of a tournament) to play another course (for fun or practice) and, then, retrieve the second round of the tournament?
Do I lose the tournament progression?

Yes, it's possible. When you go back into the tournament to complete your second round it will automatically pick up where you left off.
