@wizardofcoz this weeks tournament doesn't have a working 3rd hole. It's a 158 yard par 3 but when you get to it, the tee box has you hitting the opposite direction as an 800 yard hole.

My scorecard don't appear on the leaderboard (no worry for the leaders, I'm far far away... ;-))
It's my first tournament in the society, maybe it takes a little time?
(it works fine in Protee Q-school)

This week we have a real peach here at the Noonan club. We present you with a masterpiece created by none other than the one the only Chad golf. This course will hold its own this week measuring 6600 yards. Come one come all and register some rounds on this mountain course and enjoy those spectacular mountain views!

Hey Coz (or anyone who may know), do you know if the handicaps transfer from one Society to another? (eg. is mine the same in your society as it is in Pro Tee's society) The reason for asking is I'm looking for a way for the guy I share the skytrak with to get some tourney action. If they don't transfer between societies then maybe he can play Triplebogeys or the new 1 rd Pro Tee society and I can continue with what I'm trying to play in currently.

Probably a funny thing to ask since I have only been playing TGC 2019 societies since spring but are the society tournaments gross or net ? I'm serious, never payed attention to either standings or scoreboard and what it really showed. Somehow it shows me as a 6.1 handicap in the game. No clue how I got there either lol

Really did not like this week's course (Birchwood UK Lidar).
The course is set for long hitters: always a pond or a river in the 220-240y landing zone.
Meaning if you don't hit it >250y carry, you're strongly penalized on the scorecard.
I took a chance on some water obstacle... Bad idea!

I have to play that course IRL every week as it's my home course (and I'm responsible for the design of it on TGC too) and there are ways to get it round without having to have big carries although you do need to be able to hit your long irons and fairway woods wellOriginally posted by NetcheK View PostReally did not like this week's course (Birchwood UK Lidar).

It is recognised locally that it's a tough course though and there are lots of our members who feel your pain!!

We need more courses that have a layout like this. It is a course that forces you to make decisions off the tee and there are a lot of ways to get around the course. Wide open courses that are grip and rip it are ok occasionally but this is a much better test and more comparable to golf IRL. GREAT JOB!
