2019 TGC2019 Presidents Cup Matches

Here are the instructions and matches.

All matches are held at:
Pine Valley by craig118
White Tees, 6,564 yards

Pine Valley is the number 1 course in the world and a great match play course. This RCR was a top ranked course in TGC and the remake is a lot better. We could have used Royal Melbourne but it's this week's Society course and a little variety is nice.

Here's the instructions and rules:

SETTINGS:
ProTee rules apply. 6 Foot gimmies, Zero rewinds, Straight putting allowed and a maximum of 5% adjustment of settings (you may agree to lock down all settings in your matches). You may concede to speed up play.

Step 1:
-Reach out to your opponent via Private Message on this forum or discord.
-Set up a 2-4 hour window to play
-Please ensure your name in TGC is the same as it is in this bracket. If not, let your opponent know.
-Decide who is starting the game and inviting the other/others to play
-decide on a method of communication
-You can text, whatsapp, Discord or phone each other. If you don't agree, we default to Discord

Step 2:
-All players go to the right course, tee and settings
-Set course to White Tee, Soft Green and moderate Speed
-All go to tee one and wait
-Starting player invites everyone else to the game. Once all there, play with turn order on

Step 3:
-start the round as you normally do. While on the first tee open the menu (esc) select "Group" then add player under "Game" and "add rival" it'll bring him to the tee. The Discord guys do this all the time. Note: do note use match play.
-Before hitting a shot, both players now need to click settings, turn order, set to on. This will allow you to see your partner play in real time. Other wise, you'll appear as a ghost ball. You can have it off if both agree. If you don't agree, on is the default.
-Because you cannot use match play mode you must manually score your match in stroke play mode. You may use the concede hole function if out of the hole.

Step 5:
-Post on this thread who won. If you are unable to complete a match each team get's a half.

What's the handicap allowence? Singles = full difference. Four-ball = low guy scratch and then everyone gets 9/10s the difference to low guy?

Each golfer plays his own ball; the team's score on each hole is the lower of the two players' scores. Only one of a pair is required to complete each hole. ... All four golfers play their own balls throughout the round (rather than alternating shots); each hole is won by the team whose member has the lowest score.

In four ball match play, the USGA says: "The course Handicap of all four players is reduced by the course handicap of the player with the lowest handicap, who then plays from scratch. Each of the three other players is allowed 100 percent of the difference."

Aren't the handicaps in the game calculated base on the play in the game? So they may be different than this scorecard. We can just decide to use the scorecard doesn't really matter but it may not matchup perfectly to what the game says.

When you're on each hole, if the course is handicap rated it will show you the handicap where it shows the score/yardage. It may show up on the scorecard as well but i'm not sure.

Daddio and I played perfectly as a team. Every time I had a bad hole he made a par with a stroke. I think we lost the first hole, but that was it.
