So, I played in a tournament last night in the "Protee No Putting" society (with the USA flag as their logo) at Firethorn. I posted an awesome +30. I didn't care about my score but was just having fun hitting shots all over the place towards the end.

Tried to play their next tournament today and was banned?!??

Should I be more careful next time not to have fun so I don't ruffle any pull-n-shank feathers?!? 😂😂😂

As far as I know, the flag in the United States is supposed to stand for freedom. Apparently I made somebody upset by taking out a fake spectator that doesn't move enough to get out of his own way anyway. Lmao

P.s. If somebody can tag that society here please do. I would love to hear their bubble wrapped thoughts. 👍🤘

I do not know offhand who setup "Protee No Putting" I haven't played that one, so I can't say why you got band I really don't know don't even have a guess. But I do know a lot of the societies setup rules for how the round is to be played and what setting have to be use when playing that round. And I do know that they will ban people for not having shot recording turned on or other settings turned off they ask not be used. people setup these societies to have matches and someone has to go through and tally the score and keep track of who is doing what. Yes it is a free country and yes you should be ale to have fun, but would you welcome a neighbor hood kid back to your place if he did doughnuts in your front yard for fun, even if it was to impress your daughter? I believe you should have fun but if it is their society shouldn't you follow their rules in doing so? Why not just setup your own society and run it as you wish.

Thanks for the reply, and yep; I followed all of the rules (gimmies etc) requested on par. That's what's not making sense.

Also, the neighborhood kid can definitely do donuts in my front yard all he wants. I'll be happy to take his bike/atv as collateral for fixing my yard, then doing other work, once he gets out of the hospital. 😁

I agree with creating my own society or just playing offline so I don't step on any more sensitive toes.

In the end, if you're not following rules according to whoever; that person that cares so much about the leaderboard should give you a heads up before kicking you to the curb. 😂👍

DejaVu I know a lot of those setting up the matches put a lot of work into them, sad part is a lot of them did give a heads up to people but those people didn't listen or didn't care so some of those running it just started banning. Like I said I don't know who has that one so I don't know what got you ban, far as I know they might not have liked your name, have to ask them. But I do know there is a lot of work put into the matches and all and there are those who purposely cheat so after a while it is just easier to ban people than deal with a bunch of him hawing around. I don't play very many not good enough to keep out of others way, but I do get into one now and then, and I do play with others online, you need to check out Discord you can find a lot of people on there to play and get into some of the matches.

It's not a ProTee event and I know that because I don't ban people but you need to have shot recording on for all events and you don't so I suspect that's why you got banned, Anyone can set up a society and do what they want. It has nothing to do with ProTee.

What mthunt said. I run another society. Uneekor, with no aids, boost, straightputt etc. The only way we can tell is if you have shot recording on. Unfortunately there's no way to message people directly in the game to tell them why they are banned or going to be banned.

It has nothing to do with bubble wrap and everything to do with you not following the rules. You were unaware, it's nothing malicious, but in the game we have no way to tell you otherwise. We had to start making them private so we only let in people that know and understand the rules. Use the link BGcurtis sent, we're all on discord and chat about the societies and all bunch of other crap.

That said, i'm not sure who runs the no putting society. You could ask around, if you followed the rules i'm sure you'd be allowed back in.

DejaVu in looking at the GolfSimulatorTour site, you're shot recording is not on. That is the usual case for getting removed from a Society as that's a basic requirement for most if not all societies.

I've run the tour for 5 years. Shot recording is the only way to protect the field. You'd be blown away how much time I spend tracking people down and often emailing them at home to get them to stop bypassing rules. If they don't have shot recording on they don't get a handicap. It's hugely important. I get accused of allowing cheating all the time and not caring. I simply am not looking at the shot recording on a guy who came in 100'th place in the protee society but the guys that win without shot recording and 20 foot gimmies get my attention.

Thanks again mthunt I understand how gimmies work, but my confusion is on where to set the distances (+1 / +2) at. They are default at 1yd and go up to 15yds. They are always displayed and I am unable to disable them or put them to 0 and just leave "gimme" on.

Distances are only for “distance”. Set 1 for auto 1 putt and 2 for auto 2 putt. Anything outside of 2 requires a putt.
