How to Golf Online using your ProTee Simulator

To host or join an online game, go to the "Network Play" tab in ProteeGolf 2.0.

This might be a crazy question, and I don't know if it can be done. I don't have a Pro Tee (yet). Is there a way to sit in online and watch while you guys play a round? Kind of a spectator mode type of thing?

I remember doing that in Links golf. No, there is no spectator mode Protee.

Just tried to play online for the first time of the year and it kept crashing
- Teamspeak worked fine
- was able to join or host a game
- as the game was loading (regardless of who hosted) the game would load to 59% and then crash (and a windows error alert came up saying it was looking online for a solution that of course never comes; the Protee program quit; no error code form Protee; it crashed at 59% every time, although it seemed to reach 59% awfully quickly a few times
- the two other guys playing proceeded to have the game load
- Using Windows 7 (same as last year)
- all firewalls are turned off; I uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials and rebooted; same result
- no third party firewalls / security software on the computer
- the game & course loads and plays fine by myself
- all Windows updates have been loaded other than the BIng stuff
- port forwarding per the instructions

Any thoughts?

Run web directX from the link above?

Try running the portal as administrator?

If none of those work, you might have to uninstall the portal and/or the game. then reinstall them.

DirectX was already updated (tried it again and it said it was already there)
had already run 41

ok, in an odd twist, this seems to be related to the Ledgerock course itself; I was able to launch a handful of other courses with no issues; will try to download this course again

Cool. Maybe it's too much for your video card to handle? Try reducing detail to lowest, then try balanced mode.

Looks like it was just a corrupted course file. Reloaded coursepack 6 and it now works fine. Very odd since the course before worked fine when I played it by myself and it was only in the online play mode that it failed. But it looks like I'm good to go. Another gremlin eradicated.

I am a new ProTee owner and after a few weeks of setting up my system with lots of help from this forum I think I have got my simulator just right. So far I am having a blast practicing and playing the courses. The next thing I would like to get up and running is the ability to participate in online matches. I would like to schedule a short match (9 holes at most) with someone patient enough to test my set up to see if I have all the necessary settings to start getting involved in the online play. I would not want to slow up a regular match "testing" my online playability. If anyone is interested just let me know. Thanks!
