Had to play both rounds back to back with no practice round earlier this week. Scored Ok 80-81, but between the two rounds, I was +13 on the front, +2 on the back. Outside of a couple tree locations, I really liked the course.

Had to play early because I had to disassemble the sim afterwards. Hopefully will only have it down for a week as I drywall and paint the room.

One question, does anyone have a good strategy for estimating hill size? In round one, on hole 4 or 5 (whichever is the long, straight par 5 with water about a hundred yards out) I bombed my drive and was 275 out, I decided to go for it over the water and caught a 3 wood perfect. GC2 displayed 260 carry so I thought I was gonna be perfect, but I watched my ball go about 80 yards into the water. I watched the replay and the ball hit the hill in front of me. This has happened to me a couple of times now, but usually not so severe a penalty, I'm hoping there is a feature in TGC I don't know about...

I thought this course was great aside from a couple spots. I scored 72 in my practice round and painfully ~80 in both tournament rounds. I liked all the non standard holes. I was not able to reach any of the par 5s in two but really enjoyed how much thinking I had to do throughout the round. The positioning of the water on those par 5s was especially challenging.

I liked the greens on this course. There were 4-5 annoying holes that unless you can bomb it with the driver put you in front of a tree.

I didn't favorite the course if that says anything.

I didn't really enjoy the course as much as some of the others. Too many very short par 4s coupled with very long par 4s. I much prefer the medium length holes (370-430). My driver length of 220-240 doesn't really allow me to take advantage of the 310 yard holes (leaves an awkward approach) and I end up playing the 460+ yard holes as par 5s. My playing partners all seemed to put up pretty nice scores.

That was fun watching my round from this perspective, haven't before. Use my ghost ball anytime (preferably on the better rounds like this haha). Great work posting the videos again, I'm enjoying them. Weird that I had actually made my long putt on the 11th for eagle but in the replay it showed it go like 5 feet past when you zoomed in, but still showed that I had the 2. Little glitch I guess

We've all noticed that on ghost balls and replays. There are times that you hole out from the fairway and watch (or save) the replay and it doesn't show it going in. Clearly a glitch but don't know if it will ever be fixed. That is one of the reasons I record all of my rounds. Eventually I will get that first hole in 1 of my life and I want to have it recorded. If I just relied on recording the replay it might not show it going in. I'm also curious to see what my real life reaction to it will be and have that on camera too

I played both my rounds last night. I got fit for a new set of clubs this week, picked them up yesterday. I replaced my 15 year old set of Ping i3's with Callaway Apex CF16's. Did some quick gap-testing with the new irons and jumped right in.

First round was my best ever score on a simulator. +3 / 76. Chipped in for birdie, had a long birdie putt drop (maybe 20 feet). Was driving the ball well, and the new irons were long and straight.

Second round, totally fell apart, 91.

Didnt like this course at all. While the greens were fine, the course just had nothing going for it. Weird par 3 with a tree right in front of the tee box. Par 5 with 100 yards of water directly where I assume most hitters would end up after 2 shots. It seemed like a very amateur design.

An I missing something, I can't find the tour today? It didn't show up in the public competitions.

There are 4 East Lake courses. 3 of them are quite accurate to the real course but are over 7000 yards. The 4th one ( the one we played) is not really accurate at all. The designer made it shorter and added lakes and trees excessively. We should eventually create a poll regarding course selection. We need to know what the majority feels is the priority. 1. Real life accuracy. 2. length. 3. Ease of play. 4. Lighting conditions.

I don't mind playing a shorter course as long as it is accurate to real life. The summer tour we will spend more time looking through all of matching courses to find one that is accurate and playable. If it's not accurate, we may as well play a different course. I like playing the same course as the pros. Once I was watching the tour on Sunday with the husband of the wife's friend. I told the guy that I usually can't resist going for number 18 in two. Even though the outcome is usually not good. He asked how many times have I played the course. Then we went to the man cave and the women were more than understanding. Skip a hole would have been nice to have on that day. I hear that skip a hole is coming soon.

A lot of great features coming in 3.0. ST integration has slowed things down a bit.

There were some bugs that weren't working. Everything will be tested and working in 3.0

I would rather play realistic courses regardless of length or difficulty.
