OMG I love this course. I think I had 8 birdies and couldn't even keep it under par in round one. So treacherous. Unlike Tiger in 97, I had several 3 putts.

Nice round mthunt. I was right there with you until I messed up number 16 with a pull-draw into the water. Great golf course!

Got my first round in. I was only slightly disappointed in my +4 front side, but the wheels feel off on the backside and shot an 84 to start. Hit two in the drink. Hit two trees and went backwards on a a couple of shots. Hit about 3-4 just really poor shots this round. I think I only had one three put. I was putting for eagle from over 100 feet out on a par 5. Ended with a par because I could not see the putting grid. I got the putting camera on, but could not get it to shift in any direction. Any words of wisdom on how to do that? Rounds 2 and 3 should be a lot better!

I did fairly well on this course considering I had two misreads from my Skytrak which is a new thing for me. My wedge game was on, and it needed to be because those greens were serious! Being above the hole on this course = death lol. I did have a great time, still trying to work this swing out and fighting that draw. Some of you guys that are shooting pretty low, do you shoot that low in real life?

I play better IRL than i do on the sim and it's pretty much always been that way.

In the beginning I played better IRL. But now that I got used to the putting and penalties for sand and rough I'm about the same. Maybe even a bit better with the Sim. But not much.

Played a practice front nine yesterday while watching spieth/ rose play the final round front nine last year. I paid a lot of attention to the look of each hole off the T and closely compared it to the sim version. I also compared real life to sim on approach shots. We really need to hand it to the designer. This guy did a great job replicating the look and feel of the course.

BTW - two putting tips that make a world of difference on this course: play more break than you would otherwise and subtract/add one foot from distance for every one inch below/above the hole is from where you're putting from.

Other folks on this forum offered these tips and they work well. Thank you for that.

Second that, some designers are fantastic. This particular course is very close to what you see on TV. As time goes on more and more features will be added to help the designers be more accurate. Kapalua Bay in Maui is a good example. Hole 4 is perfect except that it is missing the lava... which is not available for the designers. More tree, bunker, and building designs are needed. TGC sure is awesome considering how long it's only been out. To the Skytrack users, thanks for joining the tour. I think that we are close to 100 players now. Before ST, we had about 25 players. This should make the spring tour even better. I would really like to see a green jacket or at least a green hoody given out to the winner of the TGC masters. If I win, I will be buying my own green hoody and get TGC 2016 Master's champion put on the back. I will then post the picture here. However, I hear that I am a real long shot to win. @ ProTee..... If you want to steal my idea..... I'm okay with that. Really.....how much fun would that be, playing for a hoody.

Great idea with the hoody. I'm in. Even that i'm far away from the top of the leaderboard. If i make it with the help of a miracle, i will buy one and post the pic

Keither, I think the green hoody idea is an absolute great idea. I have no chance to win based off of how good I see you guys shoot but do love that idea!

I followed Mthunt's lead on the front 9, quite the roller coaster. Shot even on the front with only one par. Haha. There's a lot of birdies out there on this course but you can also give them right back on the next hole. The back 9 went much more smoothly. I had to hit a shot on 13 from the pine straw that was somewhat similar to Phil's in 2010. Hit my best shot to date in TGC on that shot. Getting to try and recreate shots like that is what makes sim golf so much freaking fun. Love this course and I'm continuously amazed at how talented Clv and some of those other guys are when designing these recreations.

Thanks, had a couple chip ins that round and one the 2nd.

I had it to -4 at one point there, but then hit a water ball on 16...

Just played the single best round of my life by a far that first round (65)! I can play decent and get close to par a bunch but never really shoot under par for the whole 18. I had a real nice groove going in my swing while practicing on the full length masters course so figured I had to give it a go for the tournament while it's working.........literally everything went in and went right that first round! My heart was pounding out of my chest the last 3 or 4 holes figuring I was gonna choke and throw it all away at the end haha, haven't been that nervous in a long time.

Kinda afraid to play the next round now and have a let down even though I should with how I am swinging tonight. Maybe I'll take the rest of the night off and give Rory a tip or two on how he needs to play it for later today haha

Didn't want to lose the swing I had going so literally played all 3 rounds tonight and played pretty damn well all 3 rounds. I even took a video of most of the second round that I'll post in a bit once it uploads just to prove it haha

And side note: Had my brother and dad over earlier in the day to play, 2 rounds with them. I then came back out at 11pm again, played a practice round and all 3 tournament round for a total of 6 rounds in one day, my new record by 2 haha

Here's the link to the second round video I took. Sorry about the bad focusing, just threw the phone up on the garage door randomly when I decided I wanted to tape it. Got a couple nice bounces but also left some shots on the table of the par 5s that I hit good drives on. And just realized that I didnt 3 putt a single hole the entire 3 rounds i think, now thats a huge key. Glad im done my rounds for now and can sit back and watch it on tv and all. Good luck to everyone, hit em straight!
