Didn't want to start a whole thread about this because not many of us are recording our rounds, actually pretty much just you and a few other random rounds from others so far haha. Being by far our resident round recorder around here and your videos always look crisp, definitely curious how far back your camera is from the screen as well and what type of webcam your using?

As for why this tournament hasnt had much discussion as mentioned earlier in this thread by mainstgolf, I think this course is just fair and very solid from the looks (only played one practice round so far). The greens are holdable with approach shots and not too many complaints against it. All that combines usually to a few less posts on the thread, more just playing and enjoying, and a little more room for the mind to wander as I'm doing a bit here haha

I have played outside a few times and my putts were rolling past the hole toooo far. I should be better for round 2.
Awesome! Great to see you are back at the golf grind with us and all is going well. Just gotta shake off all the rust now haha

Well I put in both rounds today with only 4-5 holes of a practice round. I had two bogies, two birdies and I think a par on my practice round, so I stopped and decided to tee it up. Had three doubles in my first round I believe. Just completely brain dead on those three holes. Played well otherwise. Just could put myself into gimmie range for pars in round two and left myself some rather long par saves that I just couldn't convert. Left 2-3 on the lip. Missed a couple of makable birdies and there you go another +10. Very disappointed I didn't score better on this course. I really enjoyed it.

Now going to play in my first PG tournament this weekend, so we'll see what that's like on their PG Sim Tour.

How do they determine what courses correspond to the tournament?

The Zurich is played at tpc Louisiana and this is a course on tgc and there are a few others like the St Jude played at TPC southwind which is a course on tic too.

Any reason we aren't using the actual courses if they are available? Kind of neat when you play it on here and then watch the actual tournament on TV.

Just because the course is named after th real course, it doesn't mean it plays like the real one. There are some very poor/lazy designs in terms of re-creations of real courses out there. In that case, a properly designed real course is substituted in. If you look at the Spring Tour schedule on here, you'll see that it's mostly the courses that correspond with the PGA tour schedule. This week just happens to be an exception.

Furthermore... Check out this list ks-man put together. These are really the real world courses that are well respects as being accurate.

Here is a list of Real Course Recreations in TGC. All the names are as they appear in the game so you should be able to use this as a search guide. I tried to list

I think it is about 6 or 7 feet from where I hit, so maybe 16 feet or so from the screen. I have it sitting on a chair. I got a pretty decent webcam. I paid $70 for it on Amazon.

That webcam looks pretty sweet, might have to pick one of them up. Gonna research around a bit if there is an even wider version (or way to make this webcam or any one see more of the room left to right from the short distance if possible) but this one is definitely the front runner, the quality of your videos always looks great.

I tested both TPC Louissiana versions. They were both total garbage so we put in this one. It's an amazing sim track.

Continued to have swing issues throughout the round but some nice recoveries kept the score reasonable. Hoping to iron a few things out before next week.

Warning - Only watch the video if you are prepared to hear a grown man whine and complain throughout...

Played my first round ever today for this event. I probably should have at least played a practice round first to get familiar with the software. It was a blast. Shot 85. Putting was tough.

I just played round 1. Triple on the first hole after my drive went way right. It was funny my drive hit the cart-path and bounced into the woods. Then my 2nd shot hit another cart path. First time back to back cart paths in my career.

Got better after that. Went even par on the back 9.

Think I finished +7. That first hole triple kept me from getting near the top of the leaderboard.

Loved this course. Its a bit long for my ability, a couple par 4s I could not possibly reach. But thats fine with me. The overall layout is great, very unique. Never felt unfair or stupid. Good greens. Only thing I didnt like is it felt like playing in a swamp. Fairly dark and foggy looking. I will be trying this course again after the upcoming TGC patch that allows you to change course lighting. Would like to see it in the daytime :-)

Fun course, loved the greens. Got lucky in first round, back to earth on 2nd round.

Having some definite issues with the ST launch monitor though.

How do you go about getting tech support from ST? I would like to have the unit thoroughly checked and repaired while it's still under warranty. I don't mind being without the unit for a week or two.

Use to have 5-6 no reads with USB. Using wifi - zero no reads over my last 4 rounds. If you haven't tried WiFi you should.

OK, this setup is missing lots of shots, and is disconnecting (2 upper leds red, and tgc interface "connect box" does not work.) It seems that there are many experts on here, has anyone been able to get factory support for their device?

                          Help,
I was playing round 2. Nothing great as I was 15 over after 9. Then I think 2 pars and a bogie when everything stopped responding. I restarted the interface 3 times. After one restart I got a verydelayed shot come through. Then I restarted the computer 2 times. Now I am back at hole nine and it still will not respond. My family wants to go out to dinner so I will try again when we get back. This is the first time that I played with a "live" competitor, drewpac. He was beating me by 4 or so.

Any thoughts on what happened and how to fix it?
