Really enjoyed playing my practice round today. I had to hurry because my youngest had a t-ball game tonight. Took my hybrid out and played a 3-iron and that probably was not a good decision. Probably cost me a few strokes. Will put my hybrid back in the bag for my tournament rounds. Still shot an 84 as my putting is still not quite what it has been in the past with the new speed. Didn't think it would take this many rounds to get it going again. And really its not the speed anymore, but the break. Still having some inconsistent chips. Had a 25-footer or so and I hit a great shot and ended rolling about 7-10 yards past the hole instead of checking up. Had one that rolled about 15 yards and then came back about six inches at the end of the roll :-). Just crazy. And maybe I am just hitting this shots differently, but it sure doesn't feel like it. I mean I've gotten to the point I can generally feel what my swing has done and what my ball is going to do based on that swing feeling. Should be able to get a couple of solid rounds in as the tee balls seem to play to my biggest miss point :-). We will see though.

Scorecard looks great. It looks like the stats must not be counting gimmies as putts, hopefully that will change for final release.

My second round of the St. Jude Classic was pretty similar to my first. I had a number of very good holes but a few big numbers held me back from putting up a much better score. I feel like I'm getting closer to resolving a few swing issues as was evidenced by some really nice ball striking on the back nine. All good things come to an end though and my last few holes showed me I'm not quite there yet.

One more thing on the scorecard. I don't think par 3s are used when calculating FIR.

Bubs is 3 under his handicap after the first round. He could win again. That is some awesome improvement Bubs!!!! Good job! I had big improvement last year but have since leveled out. Here's hoping that you keep going down.

Thanks man. I can't believe the huge difference with these clubs. I still get a bad shot at times. But my recovery has been so much better.

I'll be playing my first round on my GC2 next week. Any default setting that need to be changed? I think I recall reading something about putting forgiveness. The default is 30%.

Thanks! Does putting of 2 mean 20%? Mine is shown as a percentage. Can you post a screen shot of the 2?

I think I know where now. A setting of 2 here, right? http://d.pr/i/13so3

For tournaments boost settings are allowed to be +-5%. It states it for every tournament. With the GC2 there really isn't any need to adjust anything. It's really accurate. Andy is correct. You can set putting to 2.

What an absolutely disappointing first round finish. Had a really good round going at +4 through 11 or 12 and then just completely went off the radar crazy. Struggled with a couple of chips again that came up WAY short of what was expected. One was out of the rough and one was out of the sand. Just really starting to get frustrating with that. But besides that I hit some POOR POOR POOR pitches. Sometimes I get a little lazy and block them to the right and that's what happened tonight :-(. Putting is still not quite there yet. Really didn't think it was going to take me this long to get adjusted back. Left a par putt on the lip. Burned the edges of two others and left my only real birdie attempt just short.

Gamed a new driver tonight. I am a demo site for the Bombtech Grenade drivers and I played the 9-degree stiff tonight. Was pleased with how I hit it besides two that got away from me and left me in the woods.

Also had some mat issues as the edge of my hitting mat is starting to come up and caught that on a couple of shots. Just an overall BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO finish tonight :-). And unfortunately I can't complete round two tonight because I have to go cover a city commission meeting. UGH.

Main StGolf, I hate when my short game won't cooperate. I feel like I should always have that going. I've been wanting to try one of those Bombtech Grenade drivers. Glad you like it.

Man I played one of the dumbest rounds of golf I've played in a long time. I don't know how, but I managed to score another 83. Just took a number of really poor swings. Had the blocks to the right on a few chips again today. Finally got that corrected, but still hit some poor shots even after getting it to go straight again. I gamed the Grenade again this round and hit some solid drives and then hit a few really poor drives that left me in loads of trouble. About the only positive things about this round is that it is over and I can move on and I did manage to sink a 26-foot par put. Not a good way to play with a IRL tournament on Saturday morning. Thankfully it's a one-man "scramble" :-).

congrats Inor. I tried to beat you. Could not do it. I played against your ghost for my final round. I was close to you but put a ball in the water. Then started to struggle. You played well. Nice job.
