Best advice there in the last sentence but we all know that's not gonna happen hahaha. Only issue for me with the adding one or two clubs for light or heavy rough is that 7 and 14 percent difference isn't always the 10 yard gap that is generally between clubs for most people. For example from 100 yards out you are still gonna be playing it as 107 from light or 114 from heavy, so that may be the difference between only one club or so from the SW to a GW. But in generally you are pretty correct in that add one or two club idea and that should work for most without an issue and most will get the hang of it and adjust quickly knowing from the shorter distances it isn't needed to go up 2 clubs all the time.

I guess just for me I just like having the exact numbers in front of me, I feel if I cant see the lie im actually hitting out of to be able to judge it a bit, then having the numbers is the next best thing (or probably better if im honest haha)...........now being able to hit those numbers consistently is a whole other battle haha

I can get it to to "pull" just like IRL, but I just wonder sometimes how I can get a draw/hook on the sim that I can not get IRL. I guess the frustrating part is that since getting the sim my indoor play has been way better than my outdoor play and I felt like since my outdoor scores have started to fall my indoor scores should follow suit :-). But the two have caught up with each other. I'm capable now of going out and shooting anywhere from 85-78 IRL and do just about the same indoors :-).

I'm going to write down the penalty numbers out by my computer and see how that impacts play. Thanks for the tips on that!
Yea i did that exact same thing. On my garage door I have a big spread sheet from 25 to 240 yards in 5 yard increments and just set the function in excel so the next two rows would show what the yardage would play as for the 7 and 14 percent penalties. Works great and speeds up my play as well

I will give that a whirl next time and see if that helps with my sand shots. Thanks!

Fairway bunkers over 40 yards have indeed a 7% penalty like the Light Rough.

I thought it was played at 7% penalty (or light rough penalty) when hitting from anywhere over 40 yards in the bunker?

Wait until you play the greenbrier.

I have played 3 rounds in four days. 20 mph winds today. Carried my bag yesterday. Pushed today. I could not make the call today for a sim round. Tomorrow at 7:50am I play the Coeur d'Alene resort, Floating Green..... Maybe I could get the round in to complete the tournament afterwards. When are they closing this one?

Good to know... Like ironstrokes, I thought the green side bunkers had a 50% penalty. Thanks for the correction. Now I know why I blasted over some greens now and again. Lol

Yea that's a great point about the delay time by the skytrak, it really does give you just enough time to self analyze and is that much more frustrating when you felt it was a good one and then pops up as a giant push slice. My first instinct is it must have been a mis read until I think better and realize it was just my awful shot haha

And nice rounds, you're right, this course was 100% all about the driving
