HOW TO PLAY
From the main menu select PLAY-> PLAY TOURNAMENT -> ALL TOURNAMENTS -> SET FILTER TO PUBLIC COMPETITIONS

You can play by yourself, offline with friends or ghost players or online.

Absolutely loving this online tour. Finally moved my sim indoors to garage and finally started hitting the ball well. Got rid of my awful strong draw. Getting joist taken out of my roof in the next couple of weeks so hoping I can hit driver then as really struggling on the long courses as can only hit hybrid. Does anyone know what happens after the next two tournaments. Are thee going to be any more events to play? Thanks in advance. Also how do I add ghost balls?

Hey Paul, congrats on getting moved inside! You'll enjoy being able to get your driver going inside when the joist is out. My guess is that we'll have a few silly season tourneys between the end of the current tour and the beginning of the regular tour season in October. Even if ProTee doesn't set one up here, one of us will via TGC itself.

Add the ghost players via the Change Rivals setting in the menu.

I just noticed we are not playing at Royal Troon. That's a bummer. I really like playing the same course as the pros do so when I watch on TV I recognize the holes.

I missed that one too Bama. I like playing the same course they're playing too. Makes both tourneys more interesting. Perhaps RT in TGC isn't a great sim course.

Horrible first round. Two three putts AND a four putt. Couple of balls in the water. I can not make a putt outside of 6 ft to save my life lol.

Only two three puts? I can beat that on the first 2 holes. My putting is absolutely AWFUL in this game, its the main reason I haven't played the past 2 tournaments

I used to have the speed down, but now 2-3 times per round I hit an absolutely horrible putt. For example, I'll have a 15 footer and hit it 30 ft. I also use to hole some putts but now I rarely drop anything. Poor pitiful me, lol.

BTW I figured out today that my CCE hitting strip does mess up some of my putts. It is kinda rough on there now and sometimes the putts go immediately offline. I've started placing the ball as close as I can towards the front of the strip and it seems to help.

And it's more noticeable on shorter putts, inside of 12' or so. Must be that with enough speed, it overcomes the roughness of the mat and stays online better.

I completely agree with you guys. Sometimes short putts will be off by as much as 5* which can get really frustrating. The putting mat is an interesting idea, but I think that would get annoying to put it down every time you have to putt. I am considering the commercial driving range mat from allturfmats. It appears that the top layer is the same material they use for their nylon putting greens. There is also a post on here where someone cut the foam out from under the mat and added some gel beneath it to make it feel better for full swings. Since the foam is 5/8" thick, I think you could get some exercise tiles to put under a piece of the putting green material to make a putting track extend off the mat.

Hey I'm not crazy after all. I've played the last two tournaments on the CCE hitting strip I purchased. And I had 2-3 putts in the last tournament that took off in one direction (I think they were all off to the right) immediately after struck and then the game shows a dead on putt. That stinks!

PS (edit) it seemed to impact the shorter putts that were hit softer. I believe both of them were inside 10 feet. At least for me.

Yeah I haven't had much chance to finish any of the tour rounds as I've been mostly practicing, but I do always play the course that week on the tgc tour.

I played some of the couse today and thought it was pretty cool. But is there not a decent Royal troon recreation? I trust in those that pick the courses but am just curious about Royal troon not being available. Seems like a popular enough course that would have been created.

Just wondering, as I'm aware this tour and game play will only get better over the years.
