TGC Tour Match Play Event

We are putting together a TGC match play event. The event will likely have 2 flights. An open and a handicapped flight using TGC tour handicaps. We will be using "Oakland Hills CC (South Course) by Royce Brown" as the course using the shorter version for handicap flight.

Some important notes:
-all matches to be played using "Online Match Play" with "Turn Order" set to "On".
-once assigned a match you have 1 week to play it.
-you need to submit a screen shot of the scorecard after the match
-we will post a sign up board with instructions and rules
-you will need to set the handicap in TGC for the match. Open both will be "0". Handicapped will be assigned at sign up but may change

The match play event will require 1 round per week and have a deminishing field so it'll likely take several weeks and will be in addition to the tour.

For now I need you to reply if you are interested and open or handicap so we can determine interest. Low interest, 1 flight. High, 2.

Just a heads up. We are experiencing an issue with handicapping in Match Play mode. We are waiting to figure it out before we start the event. We'll likely have it running soon. This only effects the handicapped portion. Stay tuned.

The game allows you to play your openent live online. It's true match play. It works but you can't give someone strokes right now. You could before but something happened. Once we see what the fix is we'll make a call.

Wierd. I can't remember...didn't this come up last winter during a test? I thought it was fixed, but maybe it never was?

You and I found a different problem. That was fixed but handicapping was working when we tested.

Ohhhhh I want in on this!! I'm listed as a 10.6 handicap so far but I'll play the open. I don't care if I get my butt kicked by one of you really good players. I'll also play in both if that's an option to fill spots.

I would of liked to play in this but unfortunately my back is still not 100% and I can't guarantee to be able to play in a certain time frame and would have to forfeit or quit mid round which wouldn't be fair on my playing partner. Hopefully next time.

I'm in for open flight. Please let me know which couse you settle on in case I don't have it on my favorites list. I have Fox Chapel and Pittsburgh Field. Belfry however I don't have. I'm sure there are several versions, please let me know which one to choose. Great Idea... kudos to MT, and Kiefer...

edit: will this run over the holidays. I might not make it this far anyway but depending I when you make the weekly cut offs I won't be able to play because im travelling frim 12/24 to 1/2. if the weekly cut off is Wednesday it won't be an issue.

Ok. Here's the thing. Handicapping isn't working but online match play is. We are going to run the open flight now and run handicapped when it's fixed. We'll post a sign up. You'll need to arrange a time to play together. You'll have a week to play.
