Hello - building our new home with golf sim. Planning on ProTee VX and the BenQ 4k. Need recommendations for computer for the sim (planning on using GS Pro). Also will have a 55 inch TV facing the golfer - do most people connect their computer directly to a computer monitor, to the TV facing the golfer or the big screen?

I have the big screen for the projector and a 65 inch tv as my monitor on the side that I put Protee Labs on for all the club data/video etc. Computer requirements depend on what specs you want. 4K vs 1080 etc.
Min Requirements for any software TGC2019, GSPro or E6
GSPro Computer Requirements- Memory: 8 GB.
- Processor: Intel Core i5 (4th gen) or equivalent.
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 970 (4 GB) or equivalent.
- Storage: 4 GB.
- Display: 1920×1080 resolution.
- OS: Windows 10 or above.
- Recommended minimum hardware for 1080p play:
- 10GB free space
- GTX 3060
- 16GB memory
- Stable internet Connection
- Ethernet port and/or BT depending on Launch Monitor
Recommended hardware for a great 1080p experience:- 20GB free space
- RTX 3070/3060ti GPU
- 16GB memory
Recommended hardware for a great 4k experience:- 20GB free space
- RTX 3080 (or better) GPU
- 32GB memory
Don’t skimp on the PC. Enjoy!! You will love the VX. Best overhead unit out there now!

Oh, very nice. I would think you would want a system on the higher end. That is Ryzen 7 7800 or 7 9800 or better yet the X3D versions with 32G of ram and at least a 4070TI or better yet a 4080 super or higher. Protee VX system requirement are a bit lower than that, but it seems to me you might as well upgrade now rather than later. You building the computer yourself or buying?

Thanks for your advice. Since I am not a computer guy, would be happy to take any advice on specifics on how/what to buy. I simply looked at the Dell computer site and came up with this: Dell Alien Aurora R16 Desktop. Is Ryzien a better option? Would the Dell be an easier option to get? Not sure if there are more customizations that are needed. Thanks again - Cheers!1 Photo

Nothing wrong with Dell or the Alienware computers. The Ryzen X3D models have an advantage in gaming although the Intel CPUs are also a solid choice. Intel has had stability issues in the past few months, but those seem to be in the rear view mirror. The $1199 version is weak and I might suggest going with the $1999 upgrade that has an I9 13900F with a 4080 TI Super and 32G of ddr 5 memory.Last edited by Stonebattle; 11-24-2024, 12:30 AM.

Here are 2 great options, both on sale. Great specs - NVIDIA 4080 Super GPU with 16GB dedicated VRAM, 32GB DDR5 RAM, SSD storage. Both are 14th generation/20 core I7 CPUs, which is fine, as Golf Sims are not CPU intensive (but 4K graphics are very GPU intensive, so the 4080 Super is a great spec). The 14th gen I9 CPUs are more expensive and the performance differences in the current gen between the top end i7 vs i9 is not worth the cost difference.

I bought the MSI Aegis RS2 above from B&H earlier this year, it's awesome. I run GSPro in 4K Ultra, no issue, it's a beast for gaming and running GSPro. I have a BenQ 4K Laser projector and 4K television connected to this computer/GPU.
Another option: It's $300 off thru 12/8. https://www.costco.com/msi-aegis-r2-...000274274.html
My 4K TV is on my side wall, facing the golfer. It has all my swing video and Protee VX Sim metrics (and my big screen enclosure displays GSPro).
Also, suggest you join the Facebook Protee VX group. Lots of info on features, configurations, recommendations, etc.
