ProTee United is there any possibility on the horizon for the VX supporting high speed USB machine cameras?

Machine vision cameras require drivers and SDK integration. Its on our list, but we need to decide on the camera brand first. Unfortunately we will not be able to integrate every machine vision camera brand out there.

That's great to hear, very promising news thanks.
I really love the integration of the cameras and I understand drawing line overlays, etc., are also coming. The 120fps are a nice budget option, but support of higher quality machine cameras will certainly take it to the next level for sure.

Flir Blackfly cameras would be a great place to start IMHO :-)

Going back to John P's question - can we save / download the swing videos? I need to be able to share with my coach otherwise I need to go back to Kinovea.

Can we add a download / export swing videos to the wanted features list then, please?

Protee Vx Owner for two months. Significant improvement just based on the computed data, impact views and shot video. I started to use my Android phone on a tripod as video and it works fine (nothing to compare it to). I can view my whole swing from various angles and heights. Phone is easily moved and adjustable but can't be zoomed. I would like to find a dedicated wireless zoomable camera.

You should see how much it's improved since it came out. Unreal.

Do iphones work with the software so that I can use my old iphones as swing cameras?

I don’t see a way to connect an iPhone in labs. You connect the camera to the PC then it shows up as an available camera. If there’s a way to live connect an iPhone I don’t know it.

I concur with Olaf , Have also tried several Kayeton cameras, and believe the 120 fps is actually better than the 180fps at lower res. However both of them still bring a lot of blur at impact. Best way to describe it is that a vertical club at impact will be shown as about 15 to 20 degrees of blurred clubs. It requires one to guess the club shape based on the average of blurs.

Cannot see a way around this without going to a higher spec, better exposure camera.

Wondering if this might be a better solution: https://shop.visiondatum.com/product...44381818487042

Has anyone tried cameras other than Kayeton / Global Shutter on the Protee VX?

I've had the same experience with similar camera's. I would love to be able to see my hands and club clearly frame by frame, especially at impact, but these cheap cameras are just too blurry, even tried a monochrome version, same. These Vision Datum cameras look pretty good, states they are windows plug and play so seams they use the windows drivers which makes them compatible with the VX. However, Protee did say they would at some point be adding machine camera compatibility. I recall once they decide on a brand to start with. I wonder which brand they use in the VX? That would seem like a good starting point. Now that the VX has the drawing tools for swing analysis, which I haven't tried yet, but seem the next best upgrade to video swing analysis is better cameras, IMHO.

I have only used the Keyton. Good camera for the price! Other camera options would be great!

I use basic webcams. Works great.

Yes please - I use Skillest for online coaching and its frustrating that I cannot send my coach my swing/shot data, when I can see both in the app. It's probably the only thing that is marking the platform down for me at this time. Other than that, I'm very happy.

                        Hello

machine visions are the only high def camera allowing no blur (global shutter).
The best value for money available in Europe is daheng (260€ for 1440x1080 @249fps).
                        MER2-160-249U3M-HS

I went for a monochrome version (need less light than a colour version) and developed my own sdk, using ChatGPT and Claude, to make it compatible with my TM4.
4 times cheaper than an ids camera and slightly cheaper than blackfly (not easy to find in Europe).
ecam could make the job with protee (global shutter) but is limited to 120fps. Same price than daheng but not as good !

                        pat
ProTee United : the daheng European importer is a Dutch company….
