  • Help! I can't get into Protee software with 30 Christmas guests coming over tomorrow.

I don't mean for this to be the complaint forum...

I just upgraded my computer as sort of a Christmas gift to us all. The new one has a killer graphics card so really looking forward to seeing how/if the graphics improve.

I just got my new computer installed. I downloaded the Protee VX software, entered my activation code (that was sent to me by Scratch Golf when I purchased the Protee) and got a message that the activation code was active on my old computer. Makes sense, so I fired up my old computer. I get to the page to deregister my activation code, where it says I can then use it on a different computer. I noticed the code was similar to my original activation code but a little bit different (could it be because my first Protee VX arrived DOA?). Anyway, I click to deactivate the code and then go back and enter that same code in my new computer. It says "invalid code", huh? So I try my original code and it says this one is still installed in my old computer, huh? So I then go back to the code I deactivated (I took a photo) and start playing with it because the code has digits that are either zeros or O's, neither work. Shit. I then go back to my old computer thinking I'll copy/paste the code into an email to make sure I get the 0's or O's correct (why would 0's or O's be in a long activation code anyway) and now the code is gone!

So I have 30 guests coming over tomorrow and no working golf simulator. Does anyone have any ideas? And why do they lock the stinking software down so tight when you need to own a Protee VX to even use it? Makes no sense.

I'm happy to paste the two different codes if it helps.

If you had contacted our support team via email support@protee-united.com or online chat on https://proteesupport.com (available 24/5), you would have been up and running already

Anyway, we just unbind your license so you should now be able to activate it on a new computer. You need to use the ProTee Labs code ending ***JQBNM. The code is case sensitive. Make sure to us all capitals.

    Merry Christmas.

I did this morning through the software before doing this but got no response.

Anyway I figured it out. I went back to the old computer and the deactivation page and noticed the code they prepopulate wasn't exactly my original code, so retyped my original code and that worked to deactivate. I then put that exact code in my new computer and it worked!

        Thanks for the quick response!

        Merry Christmas!
