My VX has developed a rather loud hissing sound. Sort of like white noise from a speaker or possibly fan noise. Anyone else have this? Seems to work fine.

Mine has done that occasionally. Usually after a power outage. I think the fan gets stuck on or something like that. Power the VX off then on again and it goes away for me. -
Thanks for the reply. I tried turning the power off and on and it does not help mine. The sound does seem to be fan noise. It is a bit warmer in my basement than it was when I first recieved the VX, so the fan noise may be normal.Comment

I'd still probably reach out to Protee about it. Other than when I'm connected to Protee Labs and using the system I have never had the fan come on on it's own. Those power outages are the only time I've heard the fan running while the software was off.Comment
