    Protee sensor

    Is there a document that describes how the protee sensor functions? I am trying to improve misreads on the unit I have. The setup is good. All of the internal sensors are working and they are clean. So, I wondering just is this sensor suppose to work.

      I have gone through the page you recommended line by line in order to make sure my sensor was working correctly. I could not find an issue, but will do the trouble shooting again to make sure.

      I want to read more of a theory of operation. The reason is, I have been getting more than my share of misreads. Normally way right. I made some adjustments to the club face in the Alt E file, but it seems I made the situation worse. So, I thought I would take some data in order to get a better idea how much and what direction I should adjust the club path and face in the ALT E to get improved results.

      I thought I would hit some wedge pitches, alternating between a 10 degree pull and push and then toe strikes and heal strikes. I wanted to see what the sensor was reading so I could make reasoned adjustments. Now that I have the data, I'm more confused than I was before. The front ball sensor seem to be picking up ball direction well enough, but that direction has little to do with the measure face angle. I believe the face angle should be the major determining factor in ball direction. Also, the strike location seems off by quite a bit most times. The sensor gets the direction right, but the amount sure is off. It would seem the internal sensor locations are close enough to make a better approximation. It also seems to me when the front ball sensor misreads the ball direction, the default is way right. I do not have data on that, just observations as of now.

        Whoops, I think the last face to path data point is wrong, it should be 8 degrees.

          Interesting you put me onto that page. I must have done the tests shown on the page at least 5 times before. I did the tests again and at the start I did not see any issues. After I did it several times, one of the sensors in the exit row stayed on. Protee helped me sort out the issue and get to an authorized repair facility. I hope this works out.
