  • VCam Losing Gain Setting

I've had a problem lately that the Vcam is periodically reverting the Gain setting to 0, even though it retains the frame rate and shutter settings. Any ideas? I have saved the settings to memory channel 1 and tried 2 as well with no luck. This is with Win 10, which I know is not supported. It seems to happen in tandem with occasions when the ProTee interface loses the camera connection and then acquires it (I hear the Windows sound for a USB device being unplugged and then reconnected a second or two later). This doesn't happen every round, but is fairly random--perhaps every other round I play. I have disabled USB sleep, so that shouldn't be it. When it occurs, ProTee eventually sees the camera (after 10 seconds or so), but the gain setting is always 0 so I have to reset it. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the PG drivers.

This sounds like the PC is losing the camera. This could be a power issue. If you have 2 cameras, you need to make sure that both the cams are on different internal USB hubs. Try plugging in 1 camera at the front and one on the back of the PC. There is only a certain milli amp on each bus and a camera needs it all.

If you have only 1 camera, also try another port.
If you are using our extension cables, make sure its connected properly. If you are using your own extension cable, then make sure it has an active repeater on it.

One other thing, make sure Format7 mode is on (compressed images).
