I am trying to figure if my swing path is being calculated correctly. I would think it would be based on the sensors in the impact row vs the sensors in the back row. Also maybe the ball sensor row? Does anyone know what goes into this calculation?

If that is the case then is there a timing factor between sensors in the same row? In other words besides the sensors in the impact row picking up the shadow or not picking up shadow is it able to calculate the difference in time that the shadow passes over it. For example if the club was very closed the toe would pass over the sensor further from you than the ones closer to you in the impact row. That time would be very small and I don't think the system is capable of doing this. I always thought the club face angle was based on the sensors in the impact row vs the sensors in the ball path row. A square face would cause the ball to go over the middle sensor in the ball sensor row.

I believe club face is calculated by timings in the impact row only, and club path is calculated by the first row vs impact row difference (and maybe just one edge of the shadow?). Not sure how AOA plays into this, as the shadow would be slightly larger when passing over the first row vs impact row, as the club is descending/getting further away from the light source.
Maybe ProTee United could confirm/correct/expound...

If I am understanding this correctly (club face) the sensors can calculate the difference in time the shadow passes over them? For example for a shot with a strait club face all the sensors should get covered at the same time, so there would be no time difference, for let say a 3 degree open clubface there will be a small time difference between adjacent sensors (very small). If the sensors are about 1 cm apart with a 90 mph swing speed I calculate aprox. a difference of .00001302 seconds.for adjacent sensors. I other words that's how much sooner or later the shadow will cover the adjacent sensors. Is the system capable of calculating this small of a difference in time between adjacent sensors?

Sure. Easy.
But the system probably doesn't work the way you are thinking. At least I I wouldn't do it that way. There are better ways. But I haven't a clue how Protee actually does it so don't know how smart/dumb their approach may be.
What problem are you trying to solve? Without proprietary design information I can't see your line of thinking getting you anywhere.

I am trying to work on my swing path, I would like to develop a little more of a " in to out swing'. In the file settings under path correction I think most recommend a -2 setting. After doing this the system still shows a straight or out to in path when I am pretty sure I am swinging with an " in to out swing path." I did some test swings and kept track of the checked sensors on the board. I thought the swing path would be calculated by the sensors checked in the back sensor row vs the checked sensors in the impact sensor row, and from this information i would be able to adjust the path correction number in the settings file. If you look at the debug screen the number on the impact row sensors and the number on the back row sensor seem to differ by 100 for a perpendicular line drawn though them. So if the number of the last checked sensor in the impact row is subtracted from the last checked sensor in the back sensor row and you get 100 then it would seem you should have a straight club path. If you don't get 100 then it would not be a straight club path. But after doing some testing there seems to be more data that I don't know of that is being used to calculate the club path. When exactly the same sensors were checked on two different swings i was getting different club paths. So after all that being said I guess there is no way for me to know exactly what to set the club path correction number too.
