Sweet Spot Adjustment Woes

Also having issues getting PT to show accurate sweet spot readings.

The photo of the impact label shows hits that registered as Right 5mm, Right 8mm, Right 12mm and Right 15 mm. The proper readings should probably be closer to Left 3, Right 2, Right 6, Right 8.

I'm not sure what else to change in the Settings editor. SS Driver correction is set to +5.

Somewhere I read that this adjustment range would be increased from the current +/-5. It doesn't appear to be the case in my interface.

Any help would be appreciated.

Adjust sweet spot in the settings. The settings.pgs located in the ProTeeGolf Interface directory contains settings set from the interface configuration screens. Adjust ss, exit and save. Then restart the interface.

So now the sensor is either reading the center of club at the extreme toe or heel of club. Change it to -5 and see where that takes you. Then set it at 0 and see what that does. It has been so long since I had to mess with that setting I forgot what - and + means as far as relationship on the club. I use Dr. Scholl's foot powder so there is no chance getting the sticker on wrong, But I use tape to get close first. . just spray it on swing a few times and then wipe it off and spray again. I keep a can in my bag so when I go to the range I can see what's happening during the summer months. I see you have the club path at -6. thats way out there. Are you sure your standing square to the sensors? To get 5 degrees in to out (which is what is typical for my swing) my number is -1 for club path and if I remember correctly I am at -2 for the sweet spot. Which is an average for all that play on my simulator.

The most important thing to remember is each time you make a change save and close the interface then restart.

Went back and put the settings back to those that ZMax recomends and lo and behold, the SS is pretty darn close to where it should be. I should stress that I redid all the settings and not only the ones directly related to Sweet Spot detection.

One of the ongoing puzzles is whether or not the interface actually "takes" the changes that you make in the settings file. Quite often I have noticed that it's not good enough to save your changes and just exit and restart the PT interface, but it's actually necessary to restart the computer for all the changes to be recognized.
