Should I enable that setting in the interface? I don't see a description. If enabled, I assume it uses the launch angle in the backspin calculation?

Yes. Enabling it uses the vcam to calculate spin based on the launch angle and speed. It allows for better spin measurement without the need of selecting a specific club. -
The setting works pretty well. Just make sure if you have gear effect enabled that your club selection is set to any of the woods or irons when using either type of club. I've noticed it can effect how it calculates the side spin. For instance if you hit an iron with it set to 3 wood and you catch it on the heel it will add more fade spin to the ball. If you don't have gear effect enabled then I don't think what club the game is set to will matter.Comment
