    Vcam woes.

I am trying to get the vcam installed and working but cannot seem to get the camera to stay on at all. I have installed the drivers and have selected it in the drop down list. When I go to preview I get a blink of a picture and then it shuts off. When I first installed it lasted long enough for me to walk to the camera before it shut down. Now it just blinks off. The camera device sliders are not functional either. I am figuring that I will need to remove and reinstall the camera software to fix this. Any suggestions??? BTW. I have not plugged in the Hcam yet. Just remembered that I moved the slider to use hcam even though thecam is not plugged in. Any issues there?

Trying to do the cams one at a time. Good or bad idea? Any help appreciated.

First setup your system without cameras. Test everything and make sure the sensor mat and putting sensors are working. This makes it a lot easier to troubleshoot.

The camera(s) going dark is not good. It would indicate that they do not get any power for some reason. Test the following:

1] Check if the HCAM has the exact same issue.
2] Connect the cameras to the PC directly without the 16' extension cord. Just uses the 3' cable.
3] Make sure both cameras are on separate USB HUBS. Try connecting 1 to the back of the PC and 1 to the front.
4] Disconnect other USB devices from the PC.

Instructions to setup the camera plus the correct driver are here: http://csc.protee-united.com/entries...camera-drivers

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I did everything you recommended. Different ports, no long cables, nothing worked. I restarted the computer this morning and all was good. Tonight I will begin the tuning. I feel that I am pretty computer savvy but I do not know what happened. Thanks for the help. BTW, we had the sim running well without the cameras.. Both Protee and TGC with the sensor mat and the putting sensor.
