V-cam settings changing on their own

Has anyone experienced their cam settings changing on their own?

The camera devices box pop-up that shows shutter, gain and framerate changes so often that I check it before every round. I have not figured out why that is. I just know to set my gain at 8, frame rate at about 35 and maximize the shutter for my most consistent readings. What settings are changing for you?

Yes those are the exact same settings which are changing. For example I set the gain to 5.17, and sometimes I check and it has changed to zero, on occasion they even change mid session. Like you, I have no idea why this is happening.

well that's weird I am not secure enough on the cam settings to adjust every time those change or are they supposed to change as lighting changes. Protee can you answer why this is happening on what they are talking about and is it supposed to do this.

We will check why the gain on some systems reset to 0. We have seen it happening on some systems.
The framereate will increase everytime you click the preview button. This happens because the preview button initialises the camera. This will not happen during normal use/play.

When you are happy with the results exit the interface and check the settings using the FlyCap2 utility (double check gain in there). Next save the settings into camera memory.
