  • Easy course for new or non golfers

Are there any par 3 or executive type courses on the protee? I have some people coming over tomorrow who are not real golfers but like to play anyways and was hoping there was a course that would make sense for them.

Yes, there's one par 3 course. Look at the link above.

Thanks. Wow, but that course was harder than a normal course I think with its greens and hills. Especially when my lob shots are all sailing a random distance.

Seems like there is room for a more beginner oriented par-3 or executive.

None of these courses are going to be an easy course. But use the link Z posted and find one that has a rating of 1 or 2 and that is going to be the easiest one on the list. I think they figure if you spend the money to have a golf simulator your past the beginner stage. Asking them to add a beginner course would be like owning 105 Ferrari's and then buying a 1987 VW bug. Doubt it will get used much.

I find it just as easy to play off the reds or shortest tee's and just play irons only. Gives you a chance to lay up on the par 4's and 5's and ok to do it with irons.

            Hills of Clarity is nuts.

I disagree. Although I am experienced, many of my friends and family are not. But they are keen to try it out and having a course that is like that (I am not asking for 10 of them, just 1) would be an asset for spreading the game to others.

Yes, I think you are probably right on that. Do you know of a course with red tees that works well for this? There are so many courses, for us new users it is a bit hard to find one.

The Dutch or Heron point are listed as the the easiest of the courses we have if you go to the link Z posted at the top of this thread and scroll down you will find several courses that are ranked at a 5 which is the easiest.

Try one of the links courses with the rough penalties turned down. Not many trees, etc. Those courses are hard in real life because of heather, uneven lies, crazy wind, often rock hard ground. None of that really translates to the simulator and if you turn the rough penalties down and play the forward tees, they are a lot easier than the courses with trees and lakes all over.
