717, thanks for taking the time to review. I am a little confused by your answer though. But let’s be clear, I am a little confused in general the last few weeks with my protee. You mention that to get the ball to draw I need to have my face closed in relation to my path. But in all the shots I posted my face is OPEN in relation to my path (with the exception of shot #3 where the face and path are pointing in the same direction). As an example: Picture number 1: Path is outside in 1 degree and the face is straight. That means the face is open 1 degree in relation to the path, so isn’t that a ball that starts slightly left (it did) and then curves right? Plus the ball was hit on the heel, causing gear effect that should cause the ball to curve to the right even further. Mine started slightly left and hooked 25 yards. I almost feel like my gear effect is backwards. But maybe I don’t understand what’s really happening when I hit the heel.

Your numbers are very close together in all of your swings. That and the fact that your not hitting in the center of the face can cause things to not go where we predict. To get the nice draws or fades we like it usually takes 2 or more degrees of difference between path and face plus hitting center. Because you put more spin on the ball especially with bulged faced drivers (gear) the ball will act even worse than you want. On my protee if i go in to out 3 with a club face open 1 I get a real nice draw. When the numbers are that close for me the ball usually goes straight in whatever direction the club path is.

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks 717.

you are correct. face open to path gives right spin. gear effect for heel contact gives right spin for a right hander. all of your shots should have curved right instead of left. try toggling the "use balltrack for ballpath calculation" setting. i seem to remember that toggle doing something funky to my protee system.
