  • Interface Problem

Hi Guys, I'm just trying to set up my Protee. When I open the Protee interface it doesn't show all of the interface screen. I can't see anything past the player and club selection boxes, and I can't even access those boxes. I don't see the show sensors, settings, etc. buttons at the bottom. I can't seem to resize it or move the screen to get access to these buttons. I'm running it on Windows 8. I've tried to run the interface as admin. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

External data might be turned on. Deselect External data input or set it to off/disabled. If you can't do it from the interface, you might have to change it in the settings file. Should be near the beginning of the file.

I had to change my screen to portrait and flip it sideways. pain in the ass but works. now I can't seem to get the usb to serial to work. I've installed from the simulator cd and it appears to be working fine in the device manager. It gives me an error description in the protee interface saying type mismatch. any ideas? Thanks again for any help

Perform the steps in the link below if you haven't done it yet.

        http://csc.protee-united.com/entries/22336578-Mouse-conflicts-in-Windows-Plug-and-Play-system

In device manager, find out what COM port the USB-serial adapter is using. Then select that COM port in the Protee interface.

I remember having trouble getting mine to work also. The instructions say to unplug it then install the driver. I took that to mean unplug the entire plug. When it really meant to plug it in and unhook it from sensor mat. then install driver. not sure if this is your problem. But thought I would toss it out there.

Yes I did manage to get it working. Most of my problems were caused by the orientation of my screen. It seems to be blocking out portions of the protee interface. I'm not sure if its a windows 8 issue or this computer which I bought especially for use with the Protee. I had to uninstall the usb driver and reinstall from the cd. I then had to rollback the driver because the usb converter kept loading its own driver. I think I need to do a little tweaking, but have been very pleased with the simulator. Thanks for all of your assistance.
