Windows 10 did it's beloved automatic update on me the other day. Caused the comm port to not connect to the Protee sensor pad. Replugged everything, etc. to make sure it was secure (though I knew it had just worked). Ultimately I had to uninstall the last update and it worked again. Beware of the latest Windows 10 version.
