  • TGC esc & not loose game

    Couple questions
    1. Past two nights, playing a course and mid round game freezes. Sky Trak; 2 green lights, 1 red, pamphlet says unlevel and it isn’t, possible loss of connection. How do you esc the game to connect box and not loose the round?

    2. Is there anyway to forward to the back nine or a certain hole?

    Thx!!

This has happened to me on occasion, and interestingly enough, also the last two nights. What I've noticed is the grid animation on the putting green will stop, and if I hit a shot, the red laser dot will disappear, one light will go red and then nothing will happen on screen. I'm at least able in those cases to his Esc on my keyboard, exit the round, exit the game, restart, and if I'm lucky, hit Continue Round on the opening menu. In most cases where the game freezes, however, I'll be taken back several holes from where I the freeze had occurred. It's frustrating, but thankfully relatively rare. Hopefully the last two nights were just an anomaly for both of us!

On your second question, if you don't care about your in-game stats, you can use the "Concede Hole" option to advance through any holes you don't want to play. Conceding gives you an automatic +7 I think for the hole (I don't use that option very often). Some courses, like Magnolia National and TPC Sawgrass, have back nine-only versions, but this is pretty rare.

    Good luck and have fun!

I have experienced exactly the same behavior of my ST and TGC as GolfGuy72. I couldn't finish a round without needing to reset and often I was thrown back a few holes.
After I switched from wifi to cabled network, these problems were gone. So it might have to do with wifi hickups messing up the connection.

It's happened a few times over the last couple years but luckily i've always got back to the exact same spot.

I had same problem last night during tournament round. I play on a Protee system, so it's not specific to skytrak.

I had the same issue as well the past few nights. Glad to know it isn't just me. But to reconnect I usually power down skytrak, sit for 20 secs then power up. Go back to the skytrack TGC screen(not the actual TGC sim) which should still be open on the desktop and click the connect button for the skytrak This usually works on the first or second try.
