    basement mat slipping

    Guys,

I have a practice studio in my basement that includes 9ft ceilings, a net and hitting mat I got from DW Quail. My problem is throughout my session the mat rotates counter clockwise on the concrete(I am a righty). Has anyone experienced this and have any advice to keep the mat in place? I don't really want to glue it down but would like to avoid having to realign periodically. Also since I am going to add a Skytrak to the studio next week I don't want this to interfere with my data readings.

    Thanks,
    Bryan

I use a non slip rug pad that I cut out the size of my CCE, and it works well. They also sell it in tape strips that you can tape to the edges of your mat.

I just use carpet tape under my mat. It's two sided and really sticky. My concrete is smooth. I just wipe it with alcohol on a rag, and put down about four strips of tape the entire length of the mat. It works great, and I change the tape when I rotate the mat. The tape is like 4 bucks and I've had the same roll for over a year.

I use 2 inch industrial strength velcro. I make a perimeter around the floor and the mat. Works awesome.
