Graphics card I most important part and I think the one in this PC is a good one. I am not really into hardware. I went with ASUS.

See post from peekaboo about this same unit. Most people believe a 1060 is minimum to run TGC at high settings. 1050ti would work at lower settings I believe. Depends on ur needs

          See this link.

higher is better. The original minimum was considered the 970 GTX, I wouldn't want to go any lower than that if you want to play at 1080p on high setting.

I've been playing JPNG with a ~5Yr old budget machine (was about $400 when I got it). Never meant for gaming, and no graphics card. I was getting ~5FPS on the lowest settings/resolution, and a consistent 10-20 second shot delay. It was brutal, but golf is like crack to me so I dealt with it. I've been trying to upgrade one thing at a time in my overall setup so the wife doesn't start asking questions. Anyway - finally got around to building a gaming pc. I spent $640 at Amazon and put it together last night. Nothing spectacular other than a good graphics card (I3, 8GB, MSI Radeon X 480 OC 8GB). WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I maxed out the graphics settings in JPNG, turned on the Weather option and the game was running at 90FPS and there was a 2-3 second delay. It was taking me about an hour to play 18 holes because of the delays (breaking 80 more often than not, so not like I was taking 100 shots). I think I can cut that down to about 25 minutes now. My back is not going to appreciate this upgrade.

I am tracking the information above regarding PC's... but what about Mac? Is that a "no go" for TGC?

Correct, it's a Windows only software. You can run it on a Mac if you Bootcamp Windows, so I've heard.

Would an iMac work for jnpg?

The iMac "Core 2 Duo" 3.06 21.5-Inch Aluminum (Late 2009) features a 3.06 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor (E7600), with two independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip, a 3 MB shared level 2 cache, a 1066 MHz system bus, 4 GB of RAM (1066 MHz PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM), a 500 GB or 1 TB (7200 RPM) hard drive,
