I did the update the other night on my laptop. Didn't take long at all - took longer to download than to install the update. Used the Skytrak for about an hour after the update and did not experience any real issues at all. Just had the odd missed shot, but that is normal. No other issues. The skytrak is connected directly to the laptop by USB cable

- Network settings on iPad needed to be redone but no problem at all.
- Chipping in WGT is not one dot better. Still the same problems. You cant make short chips and the promissed button to switch to putting/chipping mode is as well not there.
I cant even see what they did besides the new "fancy" Network Wizard... Who needed that anyhow?

I did the update last night (I connect USB) and noticed something. Maybe I'm imagining it, but it seemed before the update, that my ball flight appeared lower than it is in reality. Now I seem to be getting the high ball flight I see on the course. Maybe I'm just hitting it better now.

Skytrak app on my PC can't sync data at all. I'd leave it running for hours and still no dice. Have logged off/on and it just sits at "syncing data".

Fired up Skytrak using my iPad tonight and my firmware got automatically updated. Performance hitting balls after that was slower and I have had a number of instances of the unit freezing. Will try reinstalling software. Reconnected the Skytrak already to my wifi extender using the new network connection.
I also went in and I think I renewed my membership by clicking on renew membership, even though I officially renewed my membership with a credit card in early January. Not really sure what happen as the website had two choices 1) use existing payment (or something like that) and 2) apply free upgrade. I chose the first and did not get a chance to go back and use the second but when I logged in I could access the game improvement software. So I hope I did things properly.
Disappointed though to be fighting with lag again after I thought I could just get on with playing indoor golf. A little afraid to try TGC now with these connection issues. Will try tomorrow.

i can't get my history to sync on the iPad or windows. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice if it actually worked. I've uninstalled from both devices, reinstalled the software yet still nothing. Is no one else seeing issues?

Yep, I'm still having problems getting the old data back on both IPad & windows. Reinstalled both & still nothing.
Daft thing is it is syncing to SG360 i.e. Both the sessions in the last couple of days are viewable via the website but I can't get the old data to sync back to both devices ☹️☹️
iPad & laptop have been on for length periods with 'syncing in progress' showing

Think sync is broken, at least for my PC. I've uninstalled Skytrak and wiped my system (files, registry keys) of all things Skytrak/Skycaddie related. Always get back to "syncing" status but nothing ever occurs. Checked the Skytrak connection log and it isn't doing a thing as far as trying to download/sync data from the server. It shows it can find an Internet connection and then the device is connect or disconnected. But nothing in regards to data sync.

Maybe someone can help me out. Last week I was working on carry distances for my short irons using the game improvement part of the device. After that session I came in and downloaded the update. I logged back in after the update and that session is nowhere to be found. The distances were about where I expected them to be, but I would really like to find that data for some of the record keeping/stats I'm trying to follow this year. Anyone have any recommendation?

Yeah I've been unable to sync since updating to v2.5.4 (did not have any problems in previous updates since sync was fixed some 6 months ago). Left both iPad and iPhone to sync all night and just stays in "SYNC IN PROGRESS" but nothing happens. History in SkyTrak app on my iPad now only shows last couple of sessions done since update and iPhone app shows no history? SkyTrak_Seth/Seth, any thoughts on this new sync problem and on how to fix? I thought sync issues were finally behind us when last fixed some 6 months ago. Really frustrating for those of us who rely on this feature to analyze one's game and are paying annually for this feature when it does not work. I just got back from vacation. Downloaded update and firmware and found that I had a lot of missed shots that I did not have before. I almost never had missed shots before. Now I have one every 5. Lag seems slightly longer and when I was done it would not sync. Just stayed in "sync in progress". Thats a bit sad as it was working so well before this. Add me to the list.

Just to address a few things:
1) The new network flow was to help out new users - you all already knew how to do it the old way, so not super-impactful for you. A lot of behind the scenes work though for next steps.
2) We didn't change anything about ball flight or shot capture. Can you guys who are experiencing missed shots tell me exactly what platform and connection type you are using?
3) Data sync - Say it ain't so!!! I actually did have a sync error once last week but in the code it returned a server error. The next day it worked fine. So...is the general consensus that everything syncs up, but not down?

Just come back from the range & yes, data has been synced up to 360 but still no old data showing.
Use IOS as main system but with Skytrak installed on laptop also.
Laptop has been on every day since updating to 2.5.4 but still not synced. Just sits with ' syncing in progress' like it is on IPad.

I'm using PC via wifi.
My daughter was practicing with a 7 iron and at one point we could not get it to register a shot at all. I rebooted everything and it worked fine for about 5 shots and then would not pick up the shot. One thing I think I'm noticing is that there seems to be more non reads with low ball flight around 11 deg. I could be wrong but wedges seemed better.
It would not sync. I will try again tomorrow but I just ended up shutting it down.
