Looks like a mis-mark to me (obviously). Just need to figure out why. Are they new'ish golf balls? White golf balls? Facing a mark (ie logo) toward the camera? Using a white-headed driver? Strange lighting conditions? Just throwing out ideas of where to start - if you get a mis-mark more than once every blue moon, then it's something with your setup or environment.

Not to thread Hijack but a quick question, Would having one of the callaway soccer ball golf balls make the camera read more accurately? I just got a skytrak and excited to practice wit it.

No, I don't think so. A line really works best (like the Pro-V1 or Bridgestone logos)

I play with the Red and White Callaway soccer ball all the time, very few no reads.

I tried the Yellow and Black truvis with poor results. Way more no reads and misreads.

I play in the garage in Canada so it gets pretty cold around this time of year so I use crap balls. I suppose that is the reason

I hacked into the skytrak and dumped the FPGA into a file after a shot......not really. I might have to bring that one out again come April 1.

Its just a picture of the ball, why is that so secretive? It could show whether or not you got a good capture.

Maybe the images aren't that great a lot of the time and they estimate when that happens?
