Introducing Swingalytics - advanced SkyTrak data analytics using Google Sheets

Hi Everyone,

I'd like to share something I've been working on for the last several weeks. Swingalytics is a Google Sheets application which imports your SkyTrak data and lets you analyze and visualize the data over time using any modern browser. I've pasted screenshots of Swingalytics below.

Swingalytics has several advantages over the data visualizations at SkyGolf 360, which makes it perfect for golfers who are serious about game improvement:

1. In Swingalytics, shot data is ordered correctly, from oldest at left to newest at right. (SkyGolf 360 orders newest sessions at right, but inter-session shots from left to right, so the graphs are very difficult to interpret.)
2. In Swingalytics, shot data is plotted with a scatter plot showing you every shot, and the shots are clustered by session date/time. (SkyGolf 360 uses a simple line chart of each shot in sequence, and not ordered sequentially by date/time.)
3. Swingalytics includes charts for all 10 SkyTrak data points. (SkyGolf 360 does not show you Horizontal Launch Angle or Smash Factor/PTI.)
4. Swingalytics includes Standard Deviation calculations, so you can analyze your shot dispersion trends. (SkyGolf 360 shows you only averages, which gives you no indication of dispersion.)
5. Swingalytics includes Average and Standard Deviation comparisons of your last 10 shots versus all shots in your selected time range, so you can easily see if a swing change, club change, or ball change made a material difference in the last 10 shots. (SkyGolf 360 has no ability to show you last X shots compared to total.)
6. Swingalytics includes trend lines (linear regressions) on the graphs, showing you at a glance your rate and direction of ball flight over time. (SkyGolf 360 does not show trend lines.)
7. Swingalytics makes it easy to download your full data for further analysis into Excel or anything else. (SkyGolf 360 does not have an export data feature.)

In order to stay motivated to maintain and improve the Swingalytics product over time, I'm putting a price of $50 on it. This purchase price will get you lifetime updates and support. The only caveat is that SkyGolf may change or limit access to your data feed in the future, and I may not be able to get around their changes. In my opinion, it's your data and you deserve to have access to it. That said, since I cannot control what SkyGolf may change, I will not offer refunds for any change they make that breaks Swingalytics.

I will, however, give you a one-week trial period where I will happily refund your purchase price if you're not completely happy with Swingalytics.

I think it's important to note that no data goes through any central servers of mine - it's a direct pull from your browser (running Google Sheets) to the same data api that SkyGolf 360 uses. No "hacking" is involved, and there is no extra load on SkyGolf data servers.

pps. Regarding SkyPro device data: if there is sufficient demand for it, I will add full graphing features to the product for all your SkyPro data, too. The product currently pulls in your SkyPro data, if available, but does not yet show graphs for it.

ppps. You will NOT need to provide me, or the app, with your SkyGolf login information. I will be able to see your shot data, but will not otherwise be able to log into your account or learn your password. There is zero security risk with Swingalytics.
