  • Feature Request Thread

We have a thread for issues with 2.5.4 but would it be worthwhile creating a feature request thread? If people post 1 suggestion per post others can use the 'like' functionality as a way of gauging interest across the community? I will therefore start:

I would like the ability to store metadata about practise sessions and club comparisons etc. Ideally this should also be searchable (e.g. show me sessions where I hit club x or ball y or from venue z).

There was a thread on this subject recently:
I really like the Skytrak. It has been very helpful for self fitting clubs. However, I really need the ability to name the clubs for comparison's sake and to

The ability to see the 'photo' the skytrak is taking - or even a test mode where you can hit a shot and see the picture. This could help troubleshoot so many problems - like ball placement, reflections into the camera, is my problem the skytrak or the software I'm using?.... Since you're already taking a picture - let us have the ability to see it and you'll probably get a LOT less support calls.

SkyTrack isn't taking and storing actual photos - it's not how the software or this camera works. You're going to basically need a $40,000 camera to be able to do what you're talking about.

I am sure the skytrak is capable of capturing images although their algorithms might only parse portions of the image dynamically. I can understand why skytrak would want to keep them private as their intellectual property is their business livelihood. I imagine in the next 5 years camera based launch monitors will be very low cost with lots of competition. I also suspect open source solutions will be available soon.

I wish there was something like that though - I go through periods where missed shots are on the rise, but I don't know why. Lot of voodoo happening. I have 1 friend who when he comes over and walks near the laser, it goes out and then comes back on a little later. We've tried to figure it out, but I don't know why it happens. IF they could take the one picture on the first camera just for us to see it - it may enlighten me on how my setup may be wrong.... I was googling infrared pictures and it seems washout is a big problem - at least for trail cameras. Although Skytrak says light doesn't affect it - the trail camera people say it does to them!

In shot plotting a "clear" button, so I don't have to deselect every shot individually. Would be really handy while doing gapping sessions with iron averages on display.

Would also be handy to see shot plotting by carry distance only.
