Getting TGC on New PC - for a Skytrak user

Hello,

Upgraded my pc and having issues getting TGC to work. Trying to get a new license key, I contacted ProTee Support with the new Machine ID and my original Authorization Code only to be told the Auth Code is already in use. Replied it's just a pc upgrade but wondering what I need to do? Do I have to contact Sky Golf and get a new Auth Code? It's only been a couple of hours since I replied but would like to get this taken care of so I can get a round in tonight. Any tips/pointers are appreciated!

Personally, I think maybe there was some vagueness in the original email? I would have told them flat out that "I had a PC issue and have purchased a new PC, I would now like to move my TGC software onto the new PC. I understand that I can do this one time. Please send me instructions on how to accomplish this".

I have found Pro Tee support to be outstanding. They were VERY patient and helpful with me when I kept putting in the wrong machine ID.

Of course, I bet they have already replied to you by now...

You are correct. It was not until this last exchange I mentioned a new pc....my bad. I did find a past thread where it was mentioned you have to provide the new Machine ID along with the last License Key. So I responded with both of those, hopefully that clears things up. Have not heard back yet but will let you know.

Update; ProTee took care of everything this morning! Need my old license number and new machine ID. Great customer service!

Yeah, I figured it was something like that, being a bit vague in your initial request, but no big deal. Heck, I was such an idiot when I was trying to get TGC registered, I kept putting in the SkyTrak serial number instead of the machine ID. Did that THREE times, and Pro Tee finally sent me detailed instructions on where to find it. This happened on a Sunday evening, and solidified to me, what great support ProTee has!

Seems if I buy something for life, it should be able to change PC as much as I want, I mean tech keeps progressing

I'm pretty sure they've mentioned it in the past that its NOT a one time deal. However, i think they did say that if it's abused or done quite often they will stop.

Can anyone tell me how to see the machine id that TGC/SkyTrak/Skygolf has on file for me? My PC has multiple network cards and wifi. When I check ipconfig, I see four different physical addresses. I'm rebuilding my PC and moving to Windows 10, so I want to try and do this with minimum interuption. Any help is appreciated.
