  • Skytrak only stays connected for one second? Help!

    My Skytrak has been working great for several months with no connectivity problems and very few missed shots. All of a sudden yesterday I can't connect. I've tried resetting the unit on the bottom. I've also tried reinstalling the software on my iphone & PC.

    I connect to the Skytrak via wifi. But when I try connecting on the app, it goes all 3 lights green and the laser dot appears for one second. Then it goes back to 2 red and 1 green light. It's connected for only one second and does this over and over again.

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Is this TGC interface only or Skytrak app as well? Mine is doing it in TGC interface but is fine in Skytrak app.

      This is only in the skytrak app, as I don't have TGC. I've tried it on 2 iphones and a PC.

        Mine is fine in the Skytrak app but in the TGC interface it says "connecting" then I get the laser for about a second and it goes off but the TGC interface says "connected" even though its not properly connected ( red green green with no laser). I got it working the other night by connecting (as above) in direct mode then plugging in the USB although this may have been a coincidence

          Try resetting your router. Mine wasn't connecting well one week and a reset fixed it.

            Oc_mike,

            this same thing happened to my 1.5 year old box in February. I sent it in to tech support they said my motherboard is toast. I feel it was the firmware update, but there is no arguing.

              Same happened also to my 4 months old three weeks ago. I got UPS label from UK to sent it them. Waiting to get replasement box or new one back.

                My unit just went belly up as well. Worked fine on Sunday while finishing up the second round of the WGC Dell and today it would not connect. Restarted the PC, reloaded the software and attempted to reset the ST. Funny, but the ST would not reset. Called customer service and we tried their troubleshooting script to no avail. They were even puzzled that the unit would not reset (no flashing all amber lights when you use a paperclip to press the reset button). So off it goes to the techs... not yet warm enough in New England to go out to the range.

                  I called tech support and they had me ship the unit back. I'm still under warranty...hopefully they turn it around quickly.
